POSITIONS OPEN FOR TEMPORARY POSITIONS OF PROJECT SCIENTISTS
CSIR-Mayo Clinic Collaboration for Innovation and Translational Research

As part of an international collaboration CSIR-IGIB (within the CSIR-Mayo Clinic Collaboration for Innovation and Translational Research program is looking for young and bright candidates for purely temporary positions of Project Scientists in the area of Biomedical/Clinical Research. The number of positions, age-limit, essential qualifications and emoluments prescribed for these positions are given below;

1.Name of the post : Project Scientist (Research)
No. of post : 06
Age : below 40 yrs
Emoluments : Rs. 31000-43200 + HRA (as applicable)
Essential Qualifications : PhD in Life Sciences/Zoology/MBBS (with one year internship) having uniformly outstanding academic records and proven ability for high quality R&D work
Desirable experience : mammalian cell culture, laboratory animal handling, laboratory model organism handling such as zebrafish and proven experience in zebrafish and drosophila genetics/development

2.Name of the post : Project Scientist (Program Manager)
No. of post : 01
Age : below 40 yrs
Emoluments : Rs. 31000-67200 + HRA (as applicable)
Essential Qualifications : PhD in life science with original work/outstanding publications, leadership qualities
Desirable : experience in project management

ii) A duly constituted Screening Committee will short-list the applications. The short-listed candidates will be called for personal interview, to be conducted on 21st January, 2013.

Project Scientists are purely temporary positions and are associated only with the program mentioned above and therefore are co-terminus with the duration of the program. Only for the purpose of remuneration they will be equivalent to the range(s) of CSIR Quick Hire Fellows Scheme as per recommendations of the Selection Committee on the basis of their qualifications, experience, research papers published/patents filed and performance in the interview. Decision of the competent authority in this regard shall be final.
