Introduction :
Subharti Institute of Technology and Engineering (SITE), a constituent college of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), is amongst the 100* top ranking Engineering Colleges. The Institute had its moderate beginning in 2005 and was named Chhatrapati Sahuji Subharti Institute of Technology & Engineering. It was primarily created with the purpose to expand opportunities for technical education for the youth so as to make them agents of change and active partners in the progress and development of the country.

The Founding Fathers of the Institute worked relentlessly to induct dedicated faculty for creating the platform to impart state of the art training in technical subjects blended with quality education in the domain knowledge, communication skills and general awareness to provide global orientation for high profile employment to the beneficiaries. SITE is an approved AICTE Institution with each of the courses duly approved by the Academic Council, SVSU as well as the All India Council for Technical Education.

Institute Profile :
SITE integrates six Departments and each Department manages teaching in a group of specialized areas of technology the course content of which keeps on changing with the need of the hour. Today, globalization and the multinational scenario requires the unstinted support of the Training & Placement Cell, Personality Development Cell, Counseling Cell, Career & Guidance Cell and availability of Medical Services. SITE houses all these as an integrated group in an aesthetically structured four-storeyed building.

Mechanical Engineering (ME):The well equipped, modern workshop of SITE with heavy machines grinds and nurtures the mindset of would-be mechanical engineers to enable them lead the projects at the global level.

Civil Engineering (CE): A real world technical learning is imparted in this Department to combat with the fast growing infrastructural needs of the Nation.

Computer Science & Engineering (CSE): This is an ever growing field with sky as the limit in terms of learning, job prospects and growth in future.

Information Technology (IT): Like Computer Engineering, this Department is the soul of the technological Development as it trains mindsets for software development for every field to provide them the unlimited job opportunities.

Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE): The demand of energy with the privatization of energy sector has multiplied in India and abroad thus creating tremendous demand of electrical engineers both at the national and the international level.

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE): This branch is much in demand and has a large employment potential and requirement of higher learning endlessly. Indian electronic engineers are in great demand all over the world.

Eligibility Criteria :
Nationality:
The applicant for admission should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National.

Qualifying Examination:
Candidates appearing for the SVSUEE-2013 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2013, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
1) The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi); The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).
2) Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3) High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
4) General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level.

Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:
Candidates appearing for the SVSUEE in 2013 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).

The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:
1) Candidates belonging to SC/ST category
2) Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
3) Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the SVSUEE are eligible for all the 14 B.Tech. Degree Programmes.
4) Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the SVSUEE are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes.

Age Limit:
Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1991 are eligible to apply for SVSUEE-2013. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate /Birth proof certificate will be considered authentic.

Schedule of SVSUEE-2013
SVSU Entrance Examination will be held from 20th April 2013
The duration of the entrance examination will be 2 hours.
