Automation for remote controlling, operating and monitoring from Central Control Room
with safety in consideration. This training was also about Field Bus communication and
Field Instruments, having real-life applications. Generally, all these are used in Oil & Gas,
Petrochemical, Chemical, Cement etc. industries.
2. 2 Months Training under CAIRN ENERGY INDIA PTY. LTD., Barmer, Rajasthan in the year 2010
It was a 2 months-training for having an overview of oil and gas plant.
This project, which Cairn is going through, is all about exploration of crude oil, oil processing, and sending it to Gujarat through almost 700 km heated pipeline.Valves, gauges, transmitters etc. are used as field instruments. PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI etc. are used to establish communication between instruments, and Centre Control Room, such that control over the instruments can be made possible whenever required. This plant consists of 4 Oil Trains, 4 Steam Turbine Generators (STGs), 5 Boilers, 18 Well Pads (WPs), 6 Electrical Substations (1A,1B,2,3,4A,4B), and 1 Centre Control Room (CCR).
3. 4 Weeks Vocational Training on PLC ( Programmable Logic
Controller )from Institute of Automation and Technology , Kolkata ,
in the year 2009
PLC is such a computer-based device that provides discrete state control. It is more advanced than relay logic controller.PLC works depending on ladder diagram consisting of control relays which can be replaced by using Software and it means with less hardware failure. As PLC works with computer, this benefit can be achieved. Programmed sequence of events can be changed with change in the software. Special Functions, such as time-delay actions and counters, are easy to produce in software.
4. 1 Year Project on AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK USING EMBEDDED
SYSTEM from University Institute of Technology, The University of
Burdwan ,in the year 2010
Security is a prime concern in today’s life. The objective of this project is to produce an automatic Door-lock system which is suitable to all kinds of doors that access password from computer. When entered password equals with the password stored in the computer-memory, then the relay gets on and the door is opened.And, this procedure allows authorized persons to access a restricted area.
