ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited for admission to the following courses of the Institute during the academic year 2013-2014;

1.Name of the Degree (Full-Time) : Master of Arts/Science in Population Studies (M.A./M.Sc.)
No. of seat : 50 Seats
Eligibility Criteria : Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade. Preference shall be given to candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in Math/Stat/Eco or any social science subject.
Upper age limit : 30 years as on 30.6.2013.
Selection Criteria : On the basis of a common entrance test, personal interview, and academic merits.
Duration : Two years
Fellowship : Rs. 5,000/- p.m.

2.Name of the Degree (Full-Time) : Master of Science in Bio-Statistics and Epidemiology

Eligibility Criteria : Master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade in Economics, Health Economics, Population Studies/Demography, Life Sciences and equivalent, Health Sciences- Public Health/Community Health, Sociology, Psychology, Bio-Statistics, Bio-technology, Epidemiology, Social Work, Public Administration, Public Management, Pharmacy, Nursing, Mass Communication and five year Medical Degree.

Eligibility Criteria : M.Phil or Master's degree in Population Studies of a recognised university with atleast 55% of marks.
Upper age limit : 30 years for general candidates and 35 years for SC/ST/OBC & Women candidates as on 30.6.2013.
Selection Criteria : On the basis of common entrance test on Research Methodology, personal interview and academic merits.
Duration : Three years to a maximum of seven years

Eligibility Criteria : A graduate degree or equivalent from recognized Indian/Foreign universities.

Duration : One year to a maximum of three years.
