The Police Department, Administration of Daman & Diu will be recruiting 121 Police Constables (Male & Female) (Group 'C') as per details given below :

Designation : Police Constables

Education Qualification :
Essential : Must have passed H.S.C or an equivalent examination with 50% of marks..
Desirable :
1). Possess motor vehicle driving license of LMV for atleast 2 years.
2). Diploma or Certificate of Computer of atleast 3-months duration from a reputed institute.
3). Diploma of ITI
4). Serving Home Guards.

Physical Standards :
a) Candidate should have sound state of health, free from defect/ deformity /disease, vision 6/6 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness.
b) Height not less than 168 cros. for males and 152 cms. for females.
c) Chest applicable for males only. Chest measurement 81-85 cms.
d) Should undergo physical efficiency test as per following standard
(i) 800-Meter Run In 3.30 minutes for males & 4.00 minutes for females.
(ii) High Jump= 1.07 mtrs. for males and 1.00 mts for females
(iii) Long Jump= 3.68 intrs. for males and 3.00 1vlts for females.

Age limit : 18 to 25 years (Relaxable for Government Servents upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions/ orders issued by the Central Government.

Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5,200 - 20,200 Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-

The candidates who are domicile of Daman & Diu having requisite educatinal qualification and are within the prescibed age limit shall apply in the prescribed format (specimen given as an annexure) along with the two passport size photograph and attested copies of educational qualification and other certificates personally at their own cost or by post to the Inspector General of Police, Daman & Diu, Daman - 396 210 on or before 25/02/ 2013 during the office hours.

Subsequently the candidates fulfilling the requisite qualification will have to appear for physical test/ measurement on 09 /03/2013.

The successful candidates in the physical test will have to appear for written test of General Knowledge in English, and Hindi Language on 24/03 /2013 . The candidates will be checked by medical board. The recruitment will be held as per the Recruitment Rules applicable at the time of recruitment.
