THE INSTITUTE :
Indian School of Mines (ISM), established in 1926, is a premier institution of international repute, fully funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. After successfully offering M.Tech. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management since 1977, ISM has launched its AICTE approved MBA program under the Department of Management Studies in 1997. The Department has been constantly rated as one of the leading business schools of the country by agencies of repute like AIMA-BS Survey, Business India, and The Telegraph etc. Our placement record has been impressive since the inception of the department.

ELIGIBILITY : A Bachelor’s degree after (10+2) in any discipline from a recognized institution, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA {45% in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and DA (Differently Abled Categories*)}. For Honours graduates the aggregate will include marks of both Honours and Pass Papers. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply. Preference would be given to candidates having Engineering Degree or having Post Graduation qualification in any discipline.

SELECTION : Applicant shall have to appear CAT - 2012. Once they receive the CAT 2012 scores, they have to apply online at the Application Submission System available at our institute’s website . Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT score will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection. The sanctioned strength for the MBA Program is 62 and the reservation policy of Government of India meant for higher educational institutions is strictly adhered to. Candidates applying for reservation under OBC (Non Creamy layer) category, should submit a valid OBC certificate issued by competent authority after September 1, 2012.

APPLICATION FEE : Application fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST and PD candidates) shall be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian School of Mines and payable at Dhanbad,

HOW TO APPLY :
i) Once they receive the CAT 2012 scores, they have to apply online at the Application Submission System available at our institute’s website

ii) Application fee (Demand Draft) and should be submitted along with a print out of the filled-in online application form and necessary documents to the

Admit card : Admit cards will be available online and printout of this admit card has to be produced at the time of examination. I.S.M. will not send separate admit card to the candidates. 1. Name of the Course : 3-year M. Sc. Tech. (Applied Geology)
Subject of Entrance Examination : Geology
Minimum qualification for Examination : B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Geology as Honours/ Major/ Main/ Equivalent subject and any two subsidiary subjects from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

2. Name of the Course : 3-year M. Sc. Tech. (Applied Geophysics)

How to Apply :
i) The application form should be filled up online through I.S.M. website.

ii) After filling the details on the application form, applicants are required to submit the application online and take a printout of the system generated application form.

iii) The candidates are required to send the printout of the system generated application form, payment receipt (` 750/- for SC/ST/PD candidates only and ` 1,500/- for all other categories of candidates), photocopies of all certificates and mark sheets to the office of the
