Outstanding Sportspersons who are class VIII passed and having following Sports achievements may also be considered for recruitment in (-) 1S Pay Band in scale Rs. 4440-7440/- without carrying any Grade Pay. Such Sportspersons will be given regular Pay Band -1 of Rs. 5200-20200/- along with the Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- only on acquiring the minimum educational qualification required for PB-1, GP-
1800/- or passing the requisite training test.

Required Sports Norms for (-) 1S Pay Band :
Represented the Country in any of these Championships (a) World Cup (Junior/Senior category), (b) World Championships (Junior/Senior category), (c) Asian Games (Senior category), (d) Commonwealth Games (Senior category). OR
At least 3rd position in any of these Championships (a) Commonwealth Championships (junior/ Senior category) (b) Asian Championship/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior category) (c) South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior category) (d) USIC (World Railways) Championships (senior category). OR
At least 3rd position in Senior / Youth / Junior National Championships. OR

Minimum sports achievements :
The minimum sports norms for recruitment of sportspersons in PB-1, Scale Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 1800/- is given below;
(i) Sports person(Footballer) concerned should have represented the country in any of the category “C” championships / events, which are as under;
Category “C” championships.
(a) Commonwealth Championship. ( Junior/ Senior category)
(b) Asian Championships/ Asia Cup ( Junior / Senior category )
(c) South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior category)
(d) USIC ( World Railways ) Championships (Senior category) Or
(ii) Should be obtained at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior category). Or
(iii) Should be obtained at least 3rd position in senior State Championships for all units & District of the state.

GOLF : - Sports person should have I.G.U. ranking up to 100, subject to single handicap i.e. less than 10( in order of merit/Amateur Merit list) shall also be eligible for recruitment. Only the current Annual All India Ranking shall be considered for these purposes.

SPORTS NORMS : for outstanding sports achievements for the candidates who are class-VIII pass for (-) Is Pay Band without Grade Pay.
(i) If the Footballer represented the country in any of the Championships/Events in the category i.e.:- Olympic Games, World Cup(Junior/Senior category), World Championship (Junior/Senior category), Asian Games(senior category),Commonwealth Games(Senior Category)OR at least third(3rd) position in the Champion ships/events in the category mentioned in Item :- 4 above OR at least third (3rd) position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR at least third(3rd) position in National Games organised under aegis of Indian Olympic Association OR at least third(3rd) position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian University OR First(1st) Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)

(ii) Along with above achievements Golf sportsperson having I.G.U. ranking from 1-50

Mode of Recruitment :
a. The selection of candidate will be done by the competent recruitment committee and trial committee through TRIALS and INTERVIEW.
b. The candidates declared fit in TRIALS shall only be considered for the interview stage by Recruitment Committee.

Medical Examination : The candidate will require to be declared medically fit by Rly. Medical authority , prior to appointment after due selection.
