H.C.S (Judicial Branch) Examination – 2012
The Haryana Public Service Commission invites applications from eligible candidates for 72 posts (52 actual posts and 20 anticipated posts) of Civil Judge (Junior Division). The category wise break-up of vacancies is as under
Total post : 72
Pay scale : Rs. 27700-770-33090-920-40450-1080-44770 /-
Age : Candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 40 years as on 17.01.2013.
Essential Qualifications :
i) No person shall be eligible to be appointed a Civil Judge (Junior Division) unless he holds a degree of Bachelor of Laws from a University established by the law and approved/recognized by the Bar Council of India.
ii) The expression “Degree of Bechalor of Laws” means a degree entitling a candidate to be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocate Act, 1961, and the rules made there under.
iii) The candidate should hold a degree of Bachelor of Law on the last date of receipt of application form i.e. 17.01.2013.
Competitive Examination :
The selection of suitable candidates for appointment in HCS (Jud. Branch) will be made by holding an examination. The examination shall be conducted in three stages namely;
(i) Preliminary Examination,
(ii) Main Examination,
(iii) Viva-Voce.
How to Apply :
(i) On cash payment :
The application form (OCR Sheet) alongwith necessary instructions, acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending application can be obtained from the office of Haryana Public Service Commission, Bays No. 1-10, Block - B, Sector - 4, Panchkula on cash payment at the counter from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM and 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM on all working days at the following rates;
i) For Female Candidates : Rs.1000/-
ii) For Female, Male & Female candidates of SC/BC and ESM : Rs.250/-
iii) For Male & Female candidates of PH : Free of Cost
(ii) Through Postal Services :
Through Postal Services : The application form (OCR Sheet) can be obtained through post from the Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission, Bays No. 1-10, Block-B, Sector-4, Panchkula, (Phone No. 0172-2560755) by remitting the fees as stated above through Indian Postal Orders or Bank Drafts (from any branch of Scheduled Bank of India) payable to the Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission at Panchkula with self addressed envelop of 24x11 cm. size duly stamped worth ` 50/- for registered post at least 10 days prior to the closing date, otherwise office will not be responsible for supplying the application form well in time.
Submission of Application Form :
Candidates should ensure that the duly filled application forms for admission to the Preliminary Examination must reach Commission’s office at

by post or by personal delivery by close of office working on or before the closing date.

The result of Preliminary Examination and other announcements relating to this Examination will be displayed on Punjab & Haryana High Court website – www.highcourtchd.gov.in and also on Haryana Public Service Commission website – http://hpsc.gov.in and also will be published in the newspapers of Chandigarh & Delhi.
