COMBINED RESEARCH ENTRANCE TEST
(CRET) – 2012 -13

The University of Allahabad shall conduct the COMBINED RESEARCH ENTRANCE TEST-2012 (CRET- 2012) at Allahabad for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (D. Phil.) Programme of the University for the session 2012-12 in the subjects specified in SECTION 2 of this Bulletin.

As laid down in the University's Ordinance LVI, candidates for admission to the D.Phil. Programme must hold the master's degree (or a degree recognised by the University as equivalent thereto) in a relevant subject from the University, or any other university or institution recognised by it, and must fulfill other prescribed conditions of eligibility.

Regular teachers of the University of Allahabad and of any institution maintained by it or admitted to its privileges and International Students are exempted from appearing at CRET for admission to D.Phil program. All other candidates for admission to the D.Phil. Programme in the concerned subjects are required to appear at CRET-2012 after applying and register their candidatures through the ONLINE APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION PROCESS at the website www.CRET2012.com and remitting the admissible Test Fees in the prescribed manner.

How to Pay Fees for CRET 2012
Process for deposting the fees for online form: For Online Registration the candidates are required to download the Challan of HDFC BANK LIMITED from the website (Click here to downlaod Challan for CRET 2012) and fill it up correctly by mentioning all the details required. The bank account number CRET 2012 has to be clearly mentioned along with the applicable fee which is: 3.06. The TEST FEES prescribed for different categories of candidates for CRET-2012 are as follows :

TEST FEES for Candidates required to appear for (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Tests) OR (Level 2 and Level 3 Test) TEST FEES for Candidates exempt from Level 1 and Level 2 Tests and required to appear only for Level 3 Test
GENERAL/OBC Rs 1000.00 Rs 500.00
SC/SC/PH/VH Rs 500.00 Rs 250.00

The completed challan along with the fees can be deposited at any of the branches of HDFC BANK. Bank will give a nine digit unique receipt number on acceptance of the fee and this number is to be entered by the applicant on the online form.

If the fee payment receipt number entered by the candidate does not match with the details provided by the bank to the university then admit card will not be issued and application will be cancelled.
Bank will also give two copies (student copy and university copy) of the challan to the candidate.
