Recruitment of one RA/SRF/JRF – Department of Chemistry

Applications are invited for one RA/SRF/JRF position in the CSIR sponsored research project. Interested and highly motivated candidates may send their complete bio-data (including e-mail ID and cell number), duly attested copies of certificates and relevant documents to the Principal Investigator (PI) by regular post on or before 25/01/2012. Eligible candidates will be called for an interview.

Duration : 3 years but every year will be renewed based on the performance.

Qualifications for RA : Candidates should have Ph.D degree (Catalysis/Organometallics/Organic synthesis (used more of organometallic compounds)) from any one of the well recognized Indian Universities/Institutes. Candidates those who are already submitted Ph.D thesis can also apply.

Qualifications for SRF : Candidates should have minimum of two years research experience (Catalysis/Organometallics/Organic synthesis) in any one of the well recognized Indian Universities/Institutes/Research laboratories with minimum of two papers published in peer reviewed journals.

Qualifications for JRF : Candidates should have qualified any one of the following criteria.

(i) M.Sc Chemistry (Inorganic/Organic/General Chemistry) with JRF/NET OR
(ii) M.Sc Chemistry (Inorganic/Organic/General Chemistry) with NET qualified for Lectureship OR
(iii)M.Sc Chemistry (Inorganic/Organic/General Chemistry) with GATE

Fellowship : Fellowship will be given according to the CSIR norms.

M. PHARM- DISSERTATION
“Formulation Development of medicated mouth paint for oral thrush”
As a part of my research project, I have prepared and evaluated mucoadhesive mouth paint of clotrimazole for application to the infected site for oral candidiasis. An attempt has been made to explore the utility of some mucoadhesive hydrophilic polymers like HPMC, HEC and Na CMC. Mucoadhesive mouth paint formulation is designed to improve retention time at infected site. Stress has been given for local action of the drug.
