Q-1. How can I participate in the online counselling for B.Tech.(Fee Waiver), B.Pharma.(Fee Waiver and Non-Fee Waiver),B.Arch.( Fee Waiver and Non-Fee Waiver ),Pharma.D for admission in 2011-2012?
Ans: Kindly visit on PTU website www.ptuonline.in then register yourself according to procedures/instructions available on homepage.

Q-2. Where and how can I register online?
Ans: Login into www.ptuonline.in and in “Student Section” on left hand side,choose the appropriate course in dropdown and click on go, after that fill all mandatory details as required. After that click on SAVE & PROCEED button placed at the bottom of the page and confirm the details filled by yourself by clicking on CONFIRM & SUBMIT button .Please note down your Reg.No.and Password. Once submitted details cannot be altered. Candidate should be see the eligibility details carefully in Information Brochure (2011-2012) and related notifications.

Q-3. How can I get the fee deposit slip?
Ans: After confirm & submit in MyPage click on counselling fee link Pay through bank slip and choose nearest respective bank branch than click on submit. After that a bank slip will be generated and take a printout of receipt and pay your counseling fee of Rs.3000/(non-refundable) at selected bank.

Q-4. Where can I find the schedule for the counseling fees submission and choice filling for the online counseling?
Ans: The detailed schedule is available on www.ptuonline.in under “Key Dates” section.

Q-5. When will the counseling for reserve category (SC, BC etc.) held?
Ans: There is no separate counseling for the reserve categories the registration, fee payment, choice filling and counseling schedule is same for all categories.

Q-6. When will the counseling for Punjab Residents (85% quota) and Other state Residents (15% quota) held?
Ans: There is no separate counseling for Punjab Residents (85% quota) and Other state Residents (15% quota); the registration, fee payment, choice filling and counseling will be held simultaneously as per schedule.

Q-7. Is it mandatory to submit original documents at the time of reporting in the Institute?
Ans: NO, candidate need not to submit the original documents to the institute in which he/ she gets the admission, but a set of self attested photocopies should be submitted at the time of fess submission to the respective college after the allotment of the seat. Students have to carry the original documents for verification at the time of fees submission.

Q-7. Can I apply for both 85 % (Punjab Resident Quota) and 15 % (Outside Punjab Quota)
No, the candidates who will be considered under the 85% (Punjab Resident Quota) category will not considered under 15% (Outside Punjab Resident Quota). If any candidate applies for both the categories during the online counselling, his / her candidature will not be acceptable.

Q-8. I have failed (compartment) in one /more examination in qualifying examination as per eligibility of course for which admission is sought. Am I eligible to participate in the online counselling of PTU for admissions 2011-12?
No, such candidates are not eligible for online counselling / admission in any affiliated institute of PTU, and GNDU Campus

Q-9. How many choices (institutes), I can fill as preference during online counseling?
Ans: There is no limit. It is advisable to fill maximum choices as you can in the order of preference.

Q-10. From where could I get information regarding institute/courses and intake?
Ans: The information for the same is available in Information Boucher and on website www.ptuonline.in .
Q-11. How could I know about the result that which institute is allotted to me?
Ans: The result will be declared as per the schedule that is available in the KEY DATES link and you can view your result through your login.

Q-12. On the basis of first counselling, I have taken admission in an institute and appearing in the second round counselling. What will happen to my seat of first counselling, if I get a new seat in second counselling?
Ans: In case you get a seat in the second round of online counselling, your seat of first round will automatically be cancelled. So you must ensure that if you are allotted a seat in second round, you take admission in that college, failing which you will lose both seats.
