Applications in prescribed form are invited for admission to the Master of Technology (M. Tech.) courses in Agricultural Engineering (for the specialization in Water Resources Development & Management; Aquacultural Engineering; Farm Machinery & Power Engineering and Food Process Engineering) and in Information Technology under Triguna Sen School of Technology, Assam University, Silchar H. Q. for the academic session commencing in July 2012.

1. 4-Semester M. Tech. courses in the Department of Agricultural Engineering :
Candidates should have to obtain at least 50% marks in B. Tech./B.E. (Agricultural Engineering/Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Renewable Energy/Food Technology or relevant fields) or equivalent degrees.
2. 4-Semester M. Tech. courses in the Department of Information Technology :
Candidates should have to obtain at least 50% marks in B.E./B.Tech. in IT/CSE or relevant fields or equivalent degrees.

The candidates who have appeared in final semester examination of Assam University or any other recognized university/institute may also apply for admission to M.Tech. Courses. However, they have to produce the pass certificate latest by 31st October, 2012.

For admission to the M.Tech. courses in the University, the candidates have to qualify through Admission Test conducted by the Departments as per the University norms. Preference will be given to the candidates having valid GATE/ICAR score.

Fee :
Candidates may collect Prospectus along with Application Form for the course(s) on payment of 600.00 (for General and OBC students) and 500.00 (for SC/ST students) from the Assam University cash counter, SBI Dorgokona Branch and office of Diphu Campus, AUS, on working days upto 2 pm.

How to Apply :
i) The form may also be downloaded from University website and submitted along with an application fee of 600.00 (for General and OBC students) and 500.00 (for SC/ST students) through D.D. / Banker Cheque in favour of Finance Officer, Assam University Silchar payable at Silchar.
ii) Separate application should be submitted for each course.
iii) Candidates in person may submit their duly filled in application form in boxes placed at the Raja Rammohan Roy Administrative Building Room No – 4, Assam University, Silchar
iv) Applicants may send their applications by post, addressed to

The envelope should be superscribed as APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION to M. Tech.(AE) or M.Tech.(IT).

** Date of publication of list of eligible candidates for written test : 5th July 2012.
** Issue of Admit Card to the candidates : 6th July to 8th July 2012 (up to 11 AM).
** Admission test date : 8th July 2012.
** Personal Interview : 9th July 2012.
** Display of list of provisionally selected candidates : 13th July 2012.
** Date of Admission : 13th July 2012 to 17th July 2012
