Virtual Executive Secretary
Dear All,
Warm greetings !
This thread I am forwarding to introduce an innovative concept of "Virtual Executive Secretary / Assistant".
Brief background about me :
I am a Commerce graduate from Mumbai University having rich experience of 15+ years as an Executive Secretary for various brands of India. At present, I am working as Executive Secretary to CEO and I am very pleased to announce that I am going to start my career as "Virtual Executive Secretary".
Concept :
This concept is very popular in foreign countries where people hire virtual assistants from anywhere in the world. To explain you more about the concept, I am giving below FAQs :
Q: What is a Virtual Assistant or VA?
A: Virtual Assistants or VA's are self-employed, administrative professionals. In the conventional office, they're secretaries and administrative assistants; however, in the virtual or online office, they are Virtual Assistants or VA's where they work from their home/own office, use their own resources such as computers, phone etc. and complete the given tasks. They work contractually, they work on call, and they only bill for time spent working on your project (no waste of time or resources) usually communicate with you via the Internet or telephone. The Internet has made it easier to do business globally, so some VA's have local and global clients.
Q: Who could use the services of a Virtual Assistant?
A: Anyone who does not want to hire a full time employee to avoid manpower on rolls but due to workload would like to hire someone on contract / need based / project based.
Q: What are the benefits of working with a VA?
A: Working with a VA brings many benefits, but here are some of the benefits clients enjoy:
1) No manpower on rolls
2) Cost-efficient admin solutions
3) Lower administrative-stress levels
4) Customized and professional service
5) No additional office space / office equipment or furniture
6) No ongoing training expenses
7) No agency fees
8) Never pay for downtime, breaks or personal issues
Q: What services does a VA offer?
A: All kind of services which an Executive secretary / Executive Assistant can offer i.e. business correspondence, MIS, spreadsheets, co-ordination, travel arrangements, preparing presentations etc. where the person need not be physically available in office and job can be done via e-mail/telephone/fax.
Q: How do clients send work to VA's?
A: Assignments are transmitted via e-mail / telephone / fax.
Hope I am able to clear the basic concept. In case you have any further doubts, do let me know.
I would now request you to let me know if you would need any kind of virtual assistance. I own a laptop, broadband connection, printer, copier and scanner with the help of which I am sure I can handle any given work successfully. I am excellent in written/verbal communication, MIS, co-ordination etc. I can forward my detailed CV on request.
Looking forward for a favourable reply,
With best regards,
Rajrashmi
