Target 30000 acre Jatropha plantation within 15 year in the dry zone area in West Bengal provence.
Present work in waste land development :
1. Reclamation of soil by application of lime, application of farm yard manure to enhance soil organic matter which is helpful soil aeration and water holding capacity.
2.Proper soil mulching for preservation of soil moisture.
3.Green coverage(afforestation) to reducing soil erosion and also helpful to combat global worming.
4.Rain water harvest to protect run off water & use it as irrigation in summer .
5.Intercropping in inter space which will helpful in gestation period and get quick return.
6.Awareness and to provide modern technology in the rural people for better yield.
7. Time to time monitoring farmer’s awareness camp to educate the farmer’s in modern agricultural technology.
