    1. The Staff Selection Commission conducted Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2011. The written result was declared on 25-01-2012.

    2. Details of the skill tests are given below.:-
    Data Entry Operator (Post preferences D and E)

    Total Candidates qualified for DEST : : 10,639
    No. of candidates who appeared : 7,339
    Candidates qualified in Skill test as per criterion
    fixed by the Commission (upto 10 % mistakes for OH & HH
    candidates and 5 % mistakes for remaining category candidates) : 3401

    Lower Division Clerk (Post preference L)
    :
    Total Candidates called for Typing Test : 20,169
    No. of candidates who appeared : 13,751
    Candidates qualified in skill test as per criterion
    fixed by the Commission (upto 10 % mistakes for HH
    candidates and 5 % mistakes for remaining category candidates) : 5,251
    No. of candidates exempted from appearing in Typing Test : 136
    Total No. of candidates qualified in/exempted from Typing Test : 5,387

    Candidates qualified in both DEST/TT : 2,463
    (4 common candidates exempted in TT but present in DEST)

    3. While allocating posts of DEO and LDC to the qualified candidates, merit-cum-order of preference criteria has been adopted. All the vacancies reported for the post of Data Entry Operators have been clubbed under option D and candidate’s preferences for both D and or E have been considered for allocation against these vacancies, as vacancies have been reported for post of DEO with grade pay of Rs. 2400 only.

    4. Candidates who have not exercised preference for any of the preferences fields, group, pref. of services/deptt./cadre/state have not been considered for concerned posts/ groups/cadres/States as per policy of the Commission. Allocation lists have been prepared keeping in view the number of vacancies reported by the User departments. While allocating States/cadres to candidates within group of posts, sub-options given by them have been used.

    5. After allocation of candidates as per their merit cum preference as detailed above, 1 vacancy of DEO remained vacant. Hence, one candidate has been selected for this post in merit order with default preference. The rank given to this lone candidate is RL/1 and he will be en-bloc junior to candidates selected in the select list with SL ranks.

    6. Category wise break-up of the candidates selected for DEO (Preferences D and E) and LDC (Preference L) is given below. Vacancies reported from some states for the post of Store keeper have been included in the vacancies of LDC in Y Group:-

    7. Criteria for resolving tie cases : (Tie-cases have been resolved by applying following criteria, one after another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved) :-
    (i) Total marks in the written examination.
    (ii) Date of Birth, with older candidate placed higher.
    (iii) Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.
    (iv) Alphabetical order in which the other names of the candidates appear.
