Applications in the prescribed form are invited from candidates for admission to a competitive examination for recruitment to the post of Junior Lecturers under Higher Education Department in the following disciplines in Group-B of Odisha Education Service in the State’s pay scale of Rs.9,300-34,800/- carrying the Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- with usual allowances sanctioned by Government of Odisha from time to time. The posts are temporary but likely to be made permanent.

AGE : A candidate should be under 32 (thirty two) years and over 21 (twenty one) years of age on the 1st January, 2011

QUALIFICATION : A candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 55 % of marks or its equivalent grade with a 2nd Class in the Bachelor’s Degree and a consistently good academic record; or Ph.D., D.Sc., D.Litt., M.Phil. & M.Litt. with at least 50% marks in Master’s Degree with a 2nd Class in the Bachelor’s Degree and a consistently good academic record . Provided that candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall posses a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 50 % of marks or its equivalent grade with a 2nd Class in the Bachelor’s Degree and a consistently good academic record.

EXAMINATION FEE : A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred) only either in shape of deposit of the amount in the Government Treasury under the Head “0051-P.S.C.-105-State P.S.C. Examination Fees”, or Account Payee Bank Draft/Pay Order drawn in favour of Special Secretary, Odisha Public Service Commission payable at any Scheduled Bank at Cuttack. Treasury Chalan with wrong mention of Head of Account or wrong mention of designation of the authority in the Bank Draft/Pay Order shall not be accepted. The original Treasury Chalan/Bank Draft/Pay Order, as the case may be, must be sent to the Commission along with the application. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes of Odisha only are exempted from payment of this fee. Neither claim for refund of fee will be entertained nor the fee will be held in reserve for any other recruitment/purpose. APPLICATIONS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY THE PRESCRIBED FEE SHALL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED.

CERTIFICATES TO BE ATTACHED : Candidates are required to submit along with their applications, true copies of the following documents duly attested by Gazetted Officer/ Notary Public or self certified. The candidates are also required to mention “submitted by me” on each document and put their full signature on the same. They must not attach the Original Certificates to their applications. Only those, who are called for the Viva Voce, will be required to bring with them the Original Certificates, Mark-Sheets etc. of the attested copies, for verification at the time of Viva Voce.
