First Year Engineering/Technology Admissions 2014-2015 :
The Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai is the Competent Authority for admission to First Year Engineering 2014-2015. The schedule for Centralised Admission Process (CAP) is declared. The aspiring candidates are hereby informed to refer the Information Brochure - Annexure I for detailed procedure of CAP. Detailed information is available at the Application Form receipt Centers(ARC).

This notification is being issued for Submission of Online Application Form, Document Verification and its Confirmation at Application Form Receipt Centres (ARC) by candidates to be admitted in Autonomous Colleges, State Government/Aided Colleges, University Managed Institutes, University Departments, ICT Mumbai, such Unaided colleges and/or such number of seats from Unaided colleges, which by mutual consent have decided to form part of this admission process of Engineering/Technology Courses for the Academic Year 2014-15.

Minimum eligibility criteria for applying to admission through CAP to these courses are as mentioned below.

Eligibility for admission :
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination

Secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together.

Important Note:
1. The Application Kit consists of Application ID and Password as well as important instructions/guidelines and various stages for CAP Admission. The candidate can submit ONLINE application form with the help of the Application ID and password.
2. It is MANDATORY for all eligible aspiring Maharashtra State, All India and J&K Migrant candidates to submit and confirm Online Application Form for admission.
3. Maharashtra Candidates shall submit single Online Application form for the CAP for both Maharashtra State Seats and All India Seats. Such candidates will be given best single allotment through CAP as per inter-se-merit.
4. The eligibility of the candidates passing the HSC (Std. XII) or equivalent examination from a school/college/Examination Board situated outside India shall be further decided by the University Authorities to which the candidate is admitted. Hence such candidates are advised to get their eligibility verified by the respective University Authorities before seeking admission to the Engineering courses in the State of Maharashtra.
5. J & K Migrant Candidates applying for Engineering/Technology courses should send duly signed print out of online filled application form and attested copies of required documents by hand/speed post/courier for confirmation to “The Principal, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Versova Road, Munshi Nagar, Andheri (West), Mumbai-400 058.” as per the schedule.
6. J&K Migrant Candidate will get the Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement through their login after confirmation of application form.
