Speciality Medical Course Admission Notification 2012 : www.ipu.ac.in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
DURATION OF THE COURSE :
The duration of Super-Specialty courses shall be three years covering the period of examination.
The content and other academic activities like attendance, examination, training programme, thesis, etc. will be as per guidelines of the Medical Council of India / Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION :
Nationality :
Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign National are not eligible.
The candidate must have full registration with the Delhi Medical Council/State Medical Council/ Medical Council of India.
The candidate must have passed the Post graduate (MD/MS/DNB) examination, as per details mentioned below, on or before 21st May, 2012.
(i) DM Course Qualifying Examination
(a) Cardiology MD Medicine/ MD
(b) Neurology Pediatrics
(c) Nephrology DNB Medicine/ DNB Paediatrics
(ii) M.Ch. Courses Qualifying Examination
(a) Cardio Vascular MS General Surgery / DNB & Thoracic General Surgery Surgery
(b) Plastic Surgery M.S. General Surgery/DNB General Surgery
(c) Neuro Surgery M.S. General Surgery/DNB General Surgery
*The candidate holding Diplomate of National Board of Examination will be eligible for admission to Super7.2.3 The candidate must have passed the Post graduate (MD/MS/DNB) examination, as per details mentioned below, on or before 21st May, 2012.
(i) DM Course Qualifying Examination
(a) Cardiology MD Medicine/ MD
(b) Neurology Pediatrics
(c) Nephrology DNB Medicine/ DNB Paediatrics
(ii) M.Ch. Courses Qualifying Examination
(a) Cardio Vascular MS General Surgery / DNB & Thoracic General Surgery Surgery
(b) Plastic Surgery M.S. General Surgery/DNB General Surgery
(c) Neuro Surgery M.S. General Surgery/DNB General Surgery
*The candidate holding Diplomate of National Board of Examination will be eligible for admission to SuperSpecialty Courses, provided they have done thesis work. Evidence of thesis shall be produced by the candidate.
The candidate should be medically fit to pursue the allocated course on medical examination. Candidates who are already admitted to any Super Specialty Medical Courses in any University/ Institution as on the date of counselling will not be eligible for admission. Candidate will be required to
give an undertaking in the proforma as per Annexure-I. Candidates who have taken admission in any Super Specialty Medical Courses through Common Entrance Test conducted by this University during the academic session 2010-11 or 2011-12 and subsequently resigned from the course concerned are not eligible. Candidates who have taken admission in any Super Specialty Medical Courses through Common Entrance Test conducted by this University during the academic session 2011-12 and
subsequently resigned from the course concerned are not eligible.
MODE OF SALE OF ADMISSION BROCHURE-VI :
The ADMISSION BROCHURE-VI can be obtained in person on or after 26th March, 2012 till 21st May, 2012 between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on all working days from any one of the centres listed below:-
(i) Indian Bank, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sec 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-75
(ii) Office of the Registrar, PGIMER Building, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Baba Kharag Singh Marg, New Delhi-110001.
(iii) Academic Section, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi-110029.
In case of S.No. (ii) and (iii) above bank draft/ bankers cheque of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) drawn in favour of Registrar, GGSIP University payable at Delhi, will be accepted for sale of
Admission Brochure-VI. However, candidate who desire to purchase Admission Brochure-VI through Indian Bank, GGSIP University, Sec 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-75 can pay either in cash or through bank draft/bankers cheque (drawn in favour of Registrar, GGSIP University payable at Delhi) of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) 8.2 The
ADMISSION BROCHURE-VI can also be obtained through registered / speed post. A request in this regard should be sent to Joint Registrar (Academic), Administrative Block, Sec 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075 alongwith thefollowing :
(i) An application on plain paper, addressed to Joint Registrar (Academic) requesting to issue
Important Note :
a) The request for Application Form by post must reach the University Office latest by 14th May, 2012. The amount once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
b) Candidates desirous of applying for more than one super specialty shall fill separate application forms for each super specialty.
c) The envelope of the application requesting for issuance of ADMISSION BROCHURE-VI must be subscribed at the left-top corner as "REQUEST FOR ADMISSION BROCHURE-VI FOR SUPER SPECIALTY, MEDICAL COURSES--- 2012".
d) The University will not be responsible for any delay, loss or damage, during the transit of the Application/Demand Draft for issuance of ADMISSION BROCHURE-VI as also for its dispatch from the University.8.3 Any dispute in regard to any matter referred herein will be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.
The Application Form, complete in all respects in the sealed envelope should be submitted by hand at the University counter or it may be sent by Registered/Speed Post so as to reach the Controller of Examinations, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sec 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075 latest by 4.00 p.m. of 21st May, 2012.
