Admission Notification

TERI University is marked by its innovative academic offerings and a strong focus on excellence. It follows a semester system, with each academic year divided into two semesters. A normal academic year commences on the last Monday of the month of July and ends in early December. However, the second semester normally commences in the first week of January and continues till early May.

Admissions to the master programmes at the TERI University are normally advertised in the months of February/March each year in leading newspapers and on the TERI University website.

Admissions to M.Sc. programmes are made on the basis of an on-line all-India test conducted by the university in the month of May every year. Admissions to the other master programmes are made on the basis of written test/interview. Admissions to the M.B.A. programmes are made on the basis of CAT/GMAT/MAT scores and a Group Discussion/Personal Interview.

Ph.D. admissions are open through the year. The pre-Ph.D. course work commences either in July or in January every year. Applications may be made keeping this in mind. Admissions to the Ph.D. programmes are made on the basis of a statement of purpose, written test and an interview. All Ph.D. programmes at the University include mandatory pre-Ph.D. course work, in which students are required to attend courses which are scheduled in the semester.
