SPECIAL BACK LOG DRIVE FACULTY RECRUITMENT FOR SC / ST ONLY ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: 03 POSTS (SC-2 & ST-1)

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) is an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. The institute is located at S.A.S. Nagar, Punjab adjoining Chandigarh the City Beautiful. The main thrust areas of the institute are Tuberculosis, Malaria, Leishmaniasis and Diabetes. The Institute has excellent facilities for advanced education and research in pharmaceutical sciences and technology and is looking for faculty of high caliber and potential, willing to face the challenge of building this Institute into a center of excellence. The focus is on Master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral programmes. The openings are for three posts of Assistant Professor for thecandidates belonging to reserved categories i.e. Scheduled Caste (02) and Scheduled Tribe (01) in the pay band PB-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with an initial start of Rs.30,000/- plus AGP Rs.8000/- plus allowances as admissible from time to time (Total gross emoluments: Rs.70168/- per month approximately).

Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 5 years of teaching/research/industrial experience with published work of high quality.

Age Limit : Age limit is 45 years (relaxable for specially qualified candidates).
