Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government in the scale of pay as indicated against each and carrying usual allowances as admissible under rules of the Govt. of Assam.
1(ONE) POST (SOLITARY POST) OF TECHNICAL OFFICER UNDER THE DIRECTORATE OF ARCHAEOLOGY, ASSAM. AGE : The age limit is 38 years to 45 years as on 01-01-2012, relaxable by 5(five) years for SC/ST candidates as per relaxation granted by the Govt. REQUISITE QUALIFICATION : Post Graduate Degree in Ancient Indian History/History of Archaeology or Sanskrit or Archaeology with Pre-History as one of the subjects.
1(ONE) POST (SOLITARY POST) OF REGISTERING OFFICER (CLASS-II – GAZETTED) UNDER THE REGISTRATION OF ANTIQUTIES SECTION (A CENTRALLY SPONSORED SCHEME) OF THE DIRECTORATE OF ARCHAEOLOGY,ASSAM. AGE : 21 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2012, relexable by 5(five) years for SC/ST Candidates as per relaxation granted by the Govt. REQUISITE QUALIFICATION : Post Graduate Degree in Ancient Indian History/History of Archaeology or Sanskrit or Archaeology with Pre-History as one of the subjects. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION : Desirable experience in Archaeological field works in a Govt. recognized institution and knowledge of antiquities.
8(EIGHT) POSTS OF RESEARCH ASSISTANT IN THE DIRECTORATE OF TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING, ASSAM UNDER URBAN DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT. AGE : 21 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2012. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years in case of SC/ST candidates. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : A Bachelor Degree from a recognized University with Economics or Geography or Sociology or Statistics or Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Fees :
Applications which are signed by the candidates and accompanied by all particulars including original Treasury Challan for Rs.5.00 (Rs.2.50 for SC and ST) as application fee showing name of post and Department and also full Head of Account ‘NON TAX REVENUE-OTHER NON TAX REVENUE-0051-PSC, 102-STATE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION APPLICATION/EXAMINATION FEE RECEIPT OF A.P.S.C.’ as called for in the application form supplied by the Commission only shall be considered and candidates fulfilling all the terms of the advertisement of the respective post shall be called for interview/written test where necessary as decided by the Commission.
