Recruitment against Cultural quota for the year 2012-13

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for recruitment against two Cultural quota vacancies in Group- C in Band Pay Rs.5200-20200 (Grade pay Rs.1900/-) (RSRP-2008) in East Coast Railway for the year 2012-13. Candidates fulfilling the following eligibility conditions may apply;

Cultural Disciplines : Compact key board synthesizer player
No. of post : 01

Cultural Disciplines : Modern dance performer
No.of post : 01

Pay Band : Rs.5200-20200
Grade pay : Rs.1900/-

Professional Cultural Qualifications :
Essential :
i) Compact key board synthesizer player : Possession of Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Music from Government recognized institute.
ii) Modern dance performer : Possession of Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Dance from Government recognized institute.
Desirable :
(i) Experience in the relevant field and performance given on AIR / Doordarshan etc.
(ii) Prizes won at National level.

Educational Qualification :
Pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board. (50% marks in the aggregate will be required for NTPC categories. 50% marks are not required for SC/ST candidates, and for candidates having higher qualification.)

Age as on 01.01.2013 : 18 – 30 Years

Selection procedure :
Eligible candidates will be assessed on the following basis;
i) Written Test: Consists of 50 objective type questions relating to General Knowledge, Arithmetic and Reasoning.
ii) Assessment of talent in the relevant cultural discipline on the basis of Practical Demonstration.
iii) Assessment of talent in the relevant cultural discipline on the basis of Testimonials / Prizes etc.

Indian Postal Order for an amount of Rs.40/- drawn in favour of FA&CAO, East Coast Railway, payable at Bhubaneswar.
