Applications are invited in the prescribed format for the permanent/temporary posts of Assistant Professor/Librarian in the following Departments of the college in the Pay Band of Rs. 15,600- 39,100/-plus Academic Grade pay Rs. 6,000/- . with usual allowances as admissible under the rules of the University of Delhi from time to time. :-

Essential Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor/ Librarian :-
1. Good academic record with at least 55% of marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST or those who passed their Master’s degree / M. Lib. (M. Lib. for Librarian) prior to l9.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D. degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E&F at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign university.
2. Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

Note :-
A relaxation in the minimum marks at the P.G. level from 55% to 50% may be provided to the candidates who have cleared JRF examination conducted by the UGC/CSIR only, prior to 1989 when the minimum marks required to appear for the JRF examination was 50%.

General Notes :-
1. NET/SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for requirement and appointment as lecturer/Assistant Professor, provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D degree in compliance of the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedure for awards of M.Phil / Ph.D degree) Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET.
2. Any relaxation in the prescribed qualification can only be made by the UGC in a particular subject in which NET is not being conducted or enough number of candidates are not available with NET qualification.
3. A relaxation of 5% marks ( from 55% to 50%) of master’s level to the persons with Disability (PwD)shall be granted for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in terms of Executive Council Resolution No. 37(2) dated 01.05.2003.
4. The qualification and other service conditions shall be such as prescribed by the University of Delhi/UGC from time to time.
5. Application format may be obtained from the office of the college on any working day from 10.00AM to 4.00 PM on or before the last date of submission in person. Application format can be downloaded from the college website.(www.ssncollege.com)
