    Nine posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Group 'B', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial in the Scale of Pay of PB-2 Rs.9300-34,800 plus Grade Pay Rs. 4,600/- in the Central Detective Training School, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Kolkata under BPR&D cadre are proposed to be filled up on deputation basis. The number of vacancies are subject to change. The brief details are as under :-

    1. Name of the post : Deputy Superintendent of Police

    2. Scale of pay : PB-2 Rs.9300- 34,800 plus Grade Pay Rs. 4,600/-

    3. Ministry/Department : Bureau of Police Research & Development, MHA.

    4. Eligibility : Composite Method (Deputation plus Promotion)

    5. The Departmental Inspector of Police in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000/- (new scale of pay of PB-2 Rs.9300-34,800 plus Grade Pay Rs. 4,200/- ) with three years’ regular service in the grade shall also be considered alongwith outsiders and in case he is selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion. (The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion).

    6. Duties & Responsibilities : Deputy Superintendent of Police while posted in different Central Detective Training Schools are entrusted with the jobs of imparting training to the trainees of State/Central Police Organisations. While posted at Bureau of Police Research & Development Hqrs. is required to attend all the correspondence relating to Police Administration and Organisation. To attend Parliament Questions relating to Police Information. To carry out esearch study on the subjects relating to police work, administration and organization. To publish study reports on the subjects relating to police work, administration and organization. To keep update information regarding various aspects of the police functioning. To help other researchers in collection of data. To carry out analysis of the collected data and prepare study report etc.

    Fire evacuation plans and drills & Enforcement of safety systems, rules & procedures.
    Management of complete physical security, including vigilance & intelligence, surveillance of premises, access control at gates. Management of material management control, receipts & dispatches by road and rail.

    Monitor daily attendance records of Security Guards and tally the same with final attendance sheet along with the monthly bill for certification and approval for the payment.
    Preparation of daily reports pertaining to intake of casual workers, contract workers, visitors summary report, accident reports, occurrence report, vehicle movement report, etc; and any other kind of reports that Management may require, MIS Report Generation and Collection, collation and dissemination of meaningful information.

    SECURITY CONTROL ROOM OPERATIONS
    ·Act as an anchorman between Security, Site Shift Manager and all other departments.

    GUARD FORCE MANAGEMENT
    ·Evaluate guard force effectiveness & training.
    (a)Identification of training needs.
    (b)Imparting training.
    (c)Validation & revalidation of training.
    (d)Maintaining records of education, skills, training & experience.
