* Age - 18 - 23 years as on 10.08.2011
Assistant Sub Inspector (Radio Mechanic)
* Vacancies - 180 Posts
* Pay - Rs. 5,200 - 20,200/-, Grade Pay - Rs. 2,800/-
* Age - 18 - 25 years as on 10.08.2011
Application Fee : Each application should be accompanied by a crossed Bank Draft/Postal Order for Rs.50/-(fifty) as examination fee in favour of authority to whom the application is addressed, payable at respective SBI/Post office at the location or nearby station. However, the SC/ST and Departmental (BSF) candidates are not required to submit examination fee. Women candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees.
Form Submission - The candidates are required to apply before the last date 10.08.2011 in the prescribed proforma downloadable from DGBSF's website – www.bsf.nic.in
About us :
Till 1965 India’s borders with Pakistan were manned by the State Armed Police Battallion. Pakistan attacked Sardar Post, Chhar Bet and Beria Bet on 9 April, 1965 in Kutch. This exposed the inadequacy of the State Armed Police to cope with armed aggression due to which the Government of India felt the need for a specialized centrally controlled Border Security Force, which would be armed and trained to man the International Border with Pakistan. As a result of the recommendations of the Committee of Secretaries, the Border Security Force came into existence on 01 Dec 1965, and Shri K F Rustamji was the first chief and founding father.
