‘RECRUITMENT OF “CT/ DRIVER” IN C.R.P.F.’
1. Recruitment for the following vacancies of Constable (Driver) in CRPF on All
India basis will be carried out by open rally system at Group Centre, CRPF,
Mokamaghat, Distt- Patna (Bihar) w.e.f. 2/8/2010 at 0800 hours. The post is meant
for MALE Indian citizen only.
Total number of vacancies : 75
Note :-
(i) The Registration of candidates & issue of registration slips will be
held only from 2/8/2010 to 4/8/2010 from 0900 hrs to 1800 hrs at
Group Centre, CRPF, Mokamaghat, Distt- Patna (Bihar).
(ii) Vacancies released/notified above may vary later on due to
administrative reasons.
(iii) Vacancies reserved for Ex-Servicemen under each category ( as
shown separately after plus sign) will be filled up by fresh candidates
of respective category, if suitable Ex-Servicemen do not turn up, as
per the Ex-Servicemen (Re-employment in Central Civil Services
and posts) Rules, 1979.
2. The Pay Scale for the above post is PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 and Grade pay
Rs. 2000/- p.m.
3. Other allowances : As admissible to Central Govt. employees from time
to time under the rules.
4. Place of duty : Any where within as well as outside the Territory of India.
5. There is no restriction of domiciliary status for recruitment of above posts.
6. The recruitment is on All India Basis.
7. New Contributory Pension scheme to Central Govt. employees which has
come into effect from 01/01/2004 will be applicable to all selected
candidates.
8. Ward(s) of serving CRPF personnel may also apply, if so desired,
accordingly. They will however, be required to compete with common
candidates. Wards of CRPF serving personnel / died/ invalidated out from
service should have an undertaking to be issued by the concerned
GCs/BNs that the candidate who has appeared for recruitment is a CRPF
Ward by giving full details about the Govt. servant to avoid any bogus
entry in the recruitment.
9. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR RE-EMPLOYMENT OF EXSERVICEMEN
:-
Ex servicemen being trained soldier, only trade test written test and
medical fitness test to ascertain medical category will be conducted. As
per Govt. orders total relaxation in prescribed physical standards and
education is admissible. No PET is required for Ex servicemen. Other
conditions are as under :-
A) Ex-servicemen means a person, who has served in any rank whether
as a combatant or non-combatant in the regular Army, Navy and Air
Force of the Indian Union and,
i. Who has retired from such service after earning his pension: or
ii. Who has been released, otherwise than on his own request
from such service as a result of reduction in establishment: or
iii. Who has been released from Service after completing the
specific period of engagement otherwise than at his own
request or by way of dismissal or discharge on account of
misconduct or inefficiency and has been given gratuity and
includes personnel of the Territorial Army of the following
Categories namely :
i) Pension holders or continuous (embodied) service
ii) Gallantry award winners
B) The territorial Army personnel who fulfill above conditions will be
treated as Ex-servicemen with effect from 15/11/1986.
C) The above revised definition of 1986 would be applicable to those
service personnel who are released from service w.e.f . 1/07/1987.
1) Education :Total relaxation
2) Physical Standard :Total relaxation
3) Medical standard :Shape – One
4) Break in Service :Not more than 24 months.
5) Age limit : Age concession for Ex-servicemen
will be allowed in accordance with the orders
issued by the Govt. of India from time to time
and they will be allowed to deduct military
service from their actual age and such
resultant age should not exceed the
prescribed age limit by more than 3 years.
6) Character :Should be exemplary/Very Good /Good
10, E LIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR ABOVE POSTS ARE AS UNDER :
A) Age : 18–23 years (cut off date for age will be 1st Aug. 2010 )
i) Relaxation in upper age limit as under :-
SC/ST - 5 years
OBC - 3 years
ii) 5 years of age relaxation in addition to above will be
granted to the Children and dependent family members of those
killed in 1984 riots as per Govt. of India, MHA UO No.
I.45023/2/2007/Pers.II dated 02/09/2007. To avail the
relaxation the candidate (i.e.) children/ dependent family
members of those killed in the riots has to produce a certificate
from the concerned district collector.
B) Educational Qualification :
i) Matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognized board.
C) Technical qualification :
i) Candidates should be in possession of valid MT Heavy Driving
License (HTV) and should pass the driving test at the time of
recruitment.
D ) Physical Standards :-
i) Height :- Min. 170 CMS
ii)Weight :-Proportionate to height as per medical standards.
iii)Chest :- Un – expanded 80 Cms, Expanded 85 Cms.
E) Medical Standard:-
a. Eye Sight : Distant Vision :-
Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 & 6/9 of two eyes without
correction, i,e, without wearing of glasses.
b. The Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein
or squint eyes, Colour blind and they should possess high colour
vision. They must be in good mental and bodily healthy and free
from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient
performance of the duties.
F) Relaxation :
Height :- The minimum
height in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe is 162.5
Cms.
Chest :- The minimum chest in respect of
candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes is 76 Cms with minimum 5
Cms expansion.
11. SELECTION PROCESS:-
No application is required to be submitted in this regard. The recruitment
shall be on open rally system. Willing/eligible candidates should appear
before the Recruitment Board on the dates and time prescribed above.
Candidates will have to undergo the following test :-
a) HEIGHT BAR
b) 5 Kms Race (Qualifying Nature)
c) Identification of candidate
d) Screening of testimonials
e) Physical Measurement
f) Physical Efficiency Test
g) Trade Test
h) Written Examination (100 Marks)
i) Medical Examination
ii) Appeal against medical examination
In case of medical examination, “Temporary Unfitness” will
not be allowed. A candidate declared unfit for appointment in CRPF in
detailed medical examination will be communicated the grounds for
rejection in broad terms by Presiding Officer of the recruitment board.
The candidate if not satisfied with the finding of the Medical Officer
can submit an appeal for re-medical examination with a proof of his
fitness in the form of a medical certificate as given in Annexure-IV.
The medical certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it
contains a note by the medical practitioner concerned to the effect
that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate
has already been declared unfit by a Medical officer for appointment in
CRPF. The appeal will also not be taken into consideration unless it
contains medical re-examination fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees twenty five
only) through crossed IPO/Bank Draft/Banker’s cheque in the name of
the Appellate Authority, i.e., DIGP, GC, CRPF, Mokamaghat
and the same should be submitted within 15 days from the date of
issue of the communication in which the findings of the Medical
Officer are communicated to the candidate.
Note :- Only one appeal is permissible against the findings of
Medical officer
j) FINAL SELECTION :-
i. The final selection of the candidate will be made in order of merit in
each category.
ii. The cut off percentage of marks for
appointment will be as under:-
General and Ex servicemen : 35 %
SC/ST/OBC : 33 %
iii. There will not be any interview for this recruitment.
12. The following documents in original should be brought by the candidate at the
time of recruitment:-
i) Matriculation(SSLC) certificate for proof of Educational qualification
and Date of Birth.
ii) SC/ST and OBC certificate, as applicable, issued by the Revenue
Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar which should be on the
format as prescribed in Annexure-I & II respectively.
iii) Original Technical/Trade/Professional and experience certificates.
iv) Discharge certificate in case of Ex - Servicemen
v) Other certificates in support of additional qualification i.e.
NCC/Scout & guides / sports / proficiency in computer if any.
vi) No objection certificate in case of persons serving in Govt.
Departments/Semi Government Departments /Undertakings etc.
vii) Four recent passport size photographs.
viii) Original driving license.
13. General Conditions :-
i) Candidates will have to appear for selection/test at their own
expenses and no TA/DA will be admissible. They will also have to make
their own arrangements for stay during recruitment which may continue
for 6 to 7 days. Candidates are advised to bring their own pen/pencil
etc.
ii) The Department will not be responsible for any
accident/injuries if any, sustained during the course of test/recruitment.
iii) Selected candidates on their appointment in CRPF will be governed by
the CRPF Act 1949, CRPF Rules 1955 and other Central Government
Rules and regulations as applicable from time to time.
iv) All the posts are combatised and are purely temporary but likely to be
continued. Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in
India or outside.
v) Canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence will automatically
disqualify the candidate from appearing the tests.
vi) No prior application is required to be submitted in this regard.
Willing/eligible candidates should appear before the Recruitment Board
at Group Centre, CRPF, Mokamaghat on aforesaid date and time.

Note:-
i) The recruitment process has a 5 Km run to be completed in 24 minutes. This
requires endurance and stamina. Candidates are advised to practice for the
races before coming for recruitment, they are further advised to get
themselves medically examined regarding their suitability to run the specified
distance in the given time. CRPF will not be responsible for any injury/mishap
or medical problem which may arise from the race or other events of the
recruitment process.
ii) Be aware of Touts. No money is charged for recruitment in CRPF. If you have
paid or promised to pay money to any one, you are cheated, you are losing
money. If any one demands money or promise recruitment, immediately
inform the Presiding Officer (PO) of recruitment board.
iii) Undergoing Medical Examination at the end of all test and qualifying in the
same does not guarantee appointment as the offer of appointment will be
issued only according to allotted vacancies from the category wise merit list.
