ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT OF
SUB-INSPECTOR (CIVIL) AND CONSTABLES (PIONEER) IN C.R.P.F.

Applications are invited from the MALE Indian citizens to fill up the vacancies in the
rank of Sub-Inspector (Civil) and Constable (Pioneer) in Central Reserve Police Force.

Eligibility Criteria and other conditions

Sub-Inspector (Civil) Constable (Pioneer)

2. Age Between 21 to 30 years as on01/08/2010
Between 18 to 23 years as on 01/08/2010
3. Education & Professional Qualification
Intermediate with 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering
from a recognized Board / institution or university or
equivalent.
1) Matriculation or equivalent from recognized Board.
2) One year experience in respective trades i.e. Masonry or
Carpentry or Plumbing or Electrician or Blacksmith or
Welding or Painting.

3) Preference will be given to
those having certificate of trade
from recognized Industrial Training Institute.

7. New contributory pension scheme to Central Govt. employees which has come into
effect from 01/01/2004 will be applicable to all selected candidates

8. Persons serving in Govt./Semi Govt. departments may sent their applications through
proper channel along with “No Objection Certificate” from their employer as mentioned
in Appendix - B. Application received without proper channel and without “No
Objection Certificate” will be rejected.

12. Medical Standards
i) Eye sight - The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 & 6/9 of
two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses
ii) The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in
eyes and he should possess high colour vision. He must be in good mental
and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with
the efficient performance of the duties

13. Relaxation
:-
i) AGE:-
a) There will be relaxation in age upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC
b) The Children and dependent family members of those who killed in the riots
of 1984 and in the communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat State would be
eligible for relaxation in age by 5 years. If the applicant belongs to SC/ST
and OBC category, the relaxation so provided in clause will be in addition to
the age relaxation. To obtain this relaxation, a certificate from the concerned
District Magistrate of the district where the victim on whom the candidate is
dependent was killed.
c) In accordance with Ministry of Personnel, Public, Grievances & Pension
(Deptt. of Personnel & Training), GOI Notification No. 15012/7/1991-Estt.
(D) dated 06/12/2005, age relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit will be
provided to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of
Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989.
Certificate issued by the following authorities :-
i) The District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction, he had
ordinarily resided;
OR
ii) Any other authority designated on his behalf by the
Govt. of J&K
d) A five years relaxation to the Govt. servants will also be permissible in
accordance to the instructions issued by the Govt. from time to time who
have applied for the post of Sub-Inspector (Civil) only.
e) The Ex-Servicemen being trained soldier, only written Test and Medical
fitness test to ascertain medical category will be conducted. As per Govt.
orders total relaxation in prescribed physical standard and education is
admissible. Relaxation of upper age limit to the extent of military service
plus 3 years is applicable. No PET is required.

ii) HEIGHT
a) Minimum Height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis,
Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the
States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,
Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh &
Ladakh region of J&K will be 165 Cms.
b) The minimum height for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will
be 162.5 Cms.
iii) CHEST
a) Only for Constable (Pioneer)
Minimum Chest of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis,
Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the
States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram,
Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh region
of J&K will be: -
Un-expanded – 78 Cms & Expanded - 83 Cms
b) Only for Constable (Pioneer)
The minimum Chest for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will
be Un-expanded – 76 Cms & Expanded - 81 Cms
c) Only for Sub-Inspector (Civil)
The minimum Chest for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will
be Un-expanded – 77 Cms & Expanded - 82 Cms
iv) Candidate who intends to avail relaxation in Height / Chest measurement
will have to submit certificate in Annexure - III.

14. HOW TO APPLY:
i) The eligible and desirous candidates should send their application in the
prescribed proforma duly typed or neatly hand written as given in

Appendix

- A
duly filled in on foolscap paper with two attested passport size
photographs, one duly affixed on application form and other enclosed with
the forms addressed to the “The DIGP, GC, CRPF, Kadarpur, Distt:-
Gurgaon (Haryana) – 122001”
on or before 4th August’ 2010 repeat 4th
August’ 2010
super scribing on the envelope “APPLICATION FOR THE
POST OF SI/CIVIL OR CT/PIONEER IN CRPF”
along with the
required documents. The candidates can also drop the envelope containing
their duly filled application to the drop box placed for the purpose in the
main gate of Group Centre CRPF, Kadarpur, Gurgaon (Haryana). The
application received after the last/due date will not be entertained and
summarily rejected. Incomplete application in any respect will be rejected
summarily and no correspondence will be entertained on this account.

ii) APPLICATION FEE.
Every application of General and OBC candidates should be accompanied
by a crossed Indian Postal Order for Rs.50/- (Non-refundable) payable to
“The DIGP, GC, CRPF, Kadarpur, Distt:-Gurgaon (Haryana) –

122001”
. However, no application fee will be charged from the candidates
belonging to SC/ST community.
Note :-
Fee paid by modes other than Indian Postal order/bank draft will not be
accepted and the applications of such candidates will be rejected forthright
and the payment made shall stand forfeited.

15. SELECTION PROCESS
i) ONLY FOR SUB-INSPECTOR (CIVIL)
The candidates who are found eligible in all respect as per eligibility
conditions prescribed for the post applied for will be called for recruitment
test. The exact date and venue of recruitment test will be intimated to the
eligible candidates through admit cards. The candidates will have to undergo
the following process/test : -
a) Physical Measurement
b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
c) Written test (100 Marks)
d) Interview (20 Marks)
e) Detailed Medical Examination
f) Drawal of Merit list
g) Final Selection

ii) ONLY FOR CONSTABLE (PIONEER)
The candidates who are found eligible in all respect as per eligibility
conditions prescribed for the post applied for will be called for recruitment
test. The exact date and venue of recruitment test will be intimated to the
eligible candidates through admit cards. The candidates will have to undergo
the following process/test : -
a) At the very beginning candidate will be asked to go through the height bar.
Candidates who qualify the height bar will be subjected to 5 Km race to be
completed in 24 minutes. The candidate (s) who do not qualify 5 Km race
within the qualifying time of 24 minutes will be eliminated and will not be
allowed to participate in further process. After qualifying 5 Km race thumb
impression / specific identification marks in the body will be taken. Thumb
impression and identification marks will be checked at each stage of the
recruitment process to obviate impersonation. Original
testimonial/documents of the candidates will be checked thereafter eligible
candidates will be permitted to next stage of recruitment i.e. physical
Standard Test (P S T).

Final selection of the candidate will be made in order of merit in each
category as per cut off percentage of marks as under:-
General & Ex-Servicemen - 35 %
SC/ST/OBC - 33 %

16. Appeal against medical examination
In case of medical examination, “Temporary Unfitness” will not be allowed and the
candidates declared unfit can be examined by the Appeal Panel on his representation to
be filled within 15 days of rejection by the medical board. The appeal will be decided
within a month from the date of rejection. The appeal will not be taken into
consideration unless it contains medical re-examination fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty
Five) only through crossed IPO / Demand Draft / Banker’s Cheque in the favour of
appellate authority i.e. “The DIGP, GC, CRPF, Kadarpur, Distt:- Gurgaon
(Haryana) –122001”

18. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
i) On appointment, candidates shall be governed by the CRPF Act and Rules as well
as all such Govt. instructions/rules as applicable.
ii) Govt. shall not be responsible for damage/injury to the individual, if any,
sustained during the Physical Efficiency Test/Journey.
iii) The candidates shall have to bring with them writing material for Written Test.
iv) Candidates should come duly prepared to stay at their own arrangements for the
purpose of recruitment.
v) Candidates will have to appear for selection test at his own expenses and risk and
no TA/DA will be admissible.
vi) All eligible candidates will be duly informed about the date and venue of the
recruitment through post.
vii) The candidate finally selected for appointment shall be subjected to chest x-ray
and pathology test.
viii) The candidate joining post will have to undergo prescribed basic training at
Training Institutions of CRPF.
ix) After his selection/appointment if any candidate is found ineligible or guilty of
suppressing facts, on any ground, his services will be terminated without
assigning any reason.
x) Canvassing in any form or adoption of unfair means or bringing outside influence
will disqualify the candidate from appearing for the test.
xi) The result of Written Test will be posted on CRPF website as well as displayed on
notice boards of recruitment centres.
xii) West Pakistani refugees who have settled in J&K but have not been given the
status of J&K citizen of the State will be recruited without the condition of having
a domicile certificate from the designated authority of the J&K State.
xiii) Ex CRPF personnel will be treated as fresh entrants and they will not be allowed
any relaxation applicable to Ex-servicemen.
