Note :
(i) Application fee including postage should be paid by a single Demand Draft / Bankers’ Cheque issued by MALWA GRAMIN BANK Or a Scheduled Commercial Bank for each post separately to be drawn as below –

8. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

9. TEST CENTRES AND DATE OF WRITTEN EXAMINATION (FOR POST CODE 1&2) :
(i) The written test for the Officers Scale-I’ Post will be held on Sunday, 24-01-2010.
(ii) The Written Test for the post of Office Assistant will be held on Sunday, 31-01-2010.
(iii) The dates of examination are tentative. The exact dates will be communicated to the candidates through call letter for each examination. The Bank, however, reserves the right to cancel or make any change in the date of examination, if need arises.
(iv) The Written test will be scheduled at the following Centres and the address of the Venue will be advised in the Call Letter:

11. PROBATION:
FOR Post Code- 01 (OFFICER SCALE-I)
Selected candidates, if certified fit medically; will be appointed as Officer Scale-I, on a probation for two years, which shall be extendable by the Appointing Authority for a period not exceeding one year. The Bank reserves the right to terminate service of the candidate if found unsuitable at any time during probationary period or the extended probationary period without any notice or assigning any reason thereof.
FOR POST CODE – 02 (OFFICE ASSISTANT):
Selected candidates, if certified fit medically; will be appointed as Office Assistant, on a probation for one year, which shall be extendable by the Appointing Authority for a period not exceeding six months. The Bank reserves the right to terminate service of the candidate if found unsuitable at any time during probationary period or the extended probationary period without any notice or assigning any reason thereof.
12. GUARAntee BOND:
Post Code- 01 (OFFICER SCALE-I)
Before joining as Officer Scale-I, the selected candidates will be required to give an undertaking to serve the Malwa Gramin Bank for a minimum probation period i.e. for two years. In the event of resigning from the Malwa Gramin Bank before the expiry of the bond period, they will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs. 20,000/-( Rs. Twenty Thousand only) towards partial cost of training/ other Misc. Expenses. Therefore, for this purpose, he/she will have to submit a stamped Bond duly Executed by two sureties of sound financial standing good for an amount equivalent to Rs. 20,000/-( Rs. Twenty Thousand only).

Before joining as Office Assistant, the selected candidates will be required to give an undertaking to serve the Malwa Gramin Bank for a minimum probation period i.e. for one year. 14. Last Date for Receipt of APPLICATIONS:

15. CALL LETTERS for WRITTEN EXAMINATION for Post Code- 01 (OFFICER SCALE-I) and Post Code- 02 (OFFICE ASSISTANT):
Call letter for written examination will be sent to the eligible candidates at the correspondence address given in their application form by ordinary post and requests for sending letters to a different address subsequently will not be accepted.
An eligible candidate for written examination who do not receive the call letter by (i) 18-01-2010 for Post Code No. 1 (i.e. Officer Scale-I) and (ii) 25-01-2010 for Post Code No. 2 (i.e. Office Assistant) should contact the Bank at the following address with details of his/her name, address, date of birth, xerox copy of the application form, details of Bank Demand Draft/ Bank Pay Order and Examination Centre opted, for obtaining duplicate call letters. Duplicate call letters will be issued between 10.00 A.M. to 2.00 P.M. at the following addresses.
16. ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT
Candidates are advised/warned in their own interest that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated or suppress any material information while filling up the application form and submitting the certified copies/ testimonials.
17. Employees of Malwa Gramin Bank are also eligible to apply for the posts as aforesaid subject to fulfilling the specifications stipulated.
(a) All eligible candidates should apply in the prescribed Application Format given at the end of this advertisement to reach on or before the last date for receipt of applications. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
(b) If a candidate is eligible and desires to apply for more than one post, he/ she should make separate application for each of the posts which he/ she wishes to apply for along with separate application fee for each of the posts.

18. Pre- Examination Training for SC/ Minority/EXS candidates. (For both Posts)
It is proposed to impart free Pre- Examination Training to SC/Minority/EXSCandidates at Patiala. The Training Centre may also be changed at the discretion of the Bank. An eligible candidate who wishes to avail Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the application format. All expenses regarding travelling, boarding, lodging etc will be borne by the candidate for attending the Pre- Examination Training programme at the concerned Training Centre.
19. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
a) Bank takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or loss in postal transit of any application or communication.
b) As the applications are to be processed by a Computerised System, it is essential that the application is strictly in accordance with the prescribed format, properly and completely filled, and contains no corrections/alterations/over writing.
c) A candidate must fill the application form in CAPITAL LETTERS IN HIS/HER OWN HANDWRITING and should use as far as possible any international forms of Indian numerals.
d) Before applying for any post the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned in this advertisement. Bank would be free to reject any application at any stage of the recruitment process, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/she has applied. The decision of the Bank shall be final in taking decision on qualification and other eligibility norms.

k) The Bank, at present, is operating in five districts namely Sangrur, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib,Patiala and SAS Nagar (Mohali).Most of the branches are in remote rural areas, therefore, only candidate willing to serve anywhere in India should apply.
l) Decision of the Bank in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the document to be produced for the purpose of the conduct of examination, interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate. No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained by the Bank in this behalf.

(V) An ex serviceman candidate has to enclose a certified copy of the discharge certificate, retirement/pension order and document proof of rank (substantive as well as acting) last/presently held. Those who are still in defense service should submit a certificate from Competent Authority that they will be relived from defense service, in time, to enable the candidate to report for duty in the event of selection to work for the Bank.
(VI) Certified copy of Disability certificate issued by duly constituted Medical Board at District level incorporating therein the nature and extent of disability, in the case of Person with Disability candidates.

s) Any resultant dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the courts situated at Sangrur.
