CRPF Vacancies 2010 : Constable Driver, HYDERABAD
CENTRAL RESERVE POLICE FORCE CRPF
SOUTHERN SECTOR, HYDERABAD
“ RECRUITMENT PROGRAMME”
Recruitment for the following vacancies of Constable (Driver) in CRPF on
All India basis will be carried out by open rally system at Group Centre, CRPF,
Hakimpet(PO), Secundrabad, Ranga Reddy, Andhra Pradesh- 500 078 as per
details/date/timings shown hereunder. The posts are meant for MALE Indian citizen
only.
Date of recruitment - 01/09/2010 Time - 0800 hrs
Number of posts : 56
Note :- (i) Recruitment will commence on date and time as shown above.
However, the complete process of recruitment may take longer, so
candidates should come prepared to stay at the place for 5 to 10
days.
(ii) There is no restriction of domiciliary status for recruitment of above
posts. The recruitment is on all India basis. No prior application is
required to be submitted in this regard. Willing/eligible candidates
should appear before the Recruitment Boards at above centre
according to their trades.
(iii) Vacancies released/notified above may vary later on due to
administrative reasons.
(iv) Vacancies reserved for Ex-Servicemen under general category ( as
shown separately after plus sign) will be filled up by fresh candidates,
if suitable Ex-Servicemen do not turn up, as per the Ex-Servicemen
(Re-employment in Central Civil Services and posts) Rules, 1979.
2. The Pay Scale for the above post(s) is Pay Band-1 Rs. 5200 – 20,200 with
Grade Pay Rs. 2,000/-.
3. Other Allowances : - As admissible to Central Govt. Employees from
time to time under the rules.
4. Place of duty :- Any where within as well as outside the Territory of
India.
5. New contributory pension scheme to Central Govt. Employees which has
come into effect from 01/01/2004 will be applicable to all selected
candidates.
6. Eligibility conditions for a bove posts are as under :-
a) Age
Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st August, 2010
b) Educational qualification
Matriculation or 10th class passed from recognized board or university.
Education certificate in original is required to be produced at the time
of recruitment
c) Physical Standards
Height -170 Cms
Weight - Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards
Chest : Un-expanded – 80 Cms with minimum expansion of 5 Cms.
d) Medical Standards
i) Eye sight - The minimum distant vision should be 6/6
& 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
ii) The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose
vein or squint in eyes and he should possess high colour vision. He
must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical
defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
e) Technical qualification
Candidates should be in possession of valid Heavy Motor Vehicle
driving licence (HTV) and should pass the driving test at the time of
recruitment
f) Relaxation:-
i) Age
(a) Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years
for OBC category candidates.
(b) The children and dependent family members of those who were
killed in the riots of 1984 would be eligible for relaxation in age by
5 years. If the applicant belongs to SC, ST or OBC category, the
relaxation so provided in the clause will be in addition to the age
relaxation as applicable in (a) above. To obtain this relaxation a
certificate from the concerned District Magistrate /District
Collector of the district where the victim was killed, should be
attached with the application.
ii) Height
Minimum Height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis,
Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to
the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,
Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh &
Ladakh region of J&K will be 165 Cms. The minimum height for all
candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be 162.5 Cms.
iii) Chest
Minimum chest of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis,
Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to
the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,
Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh &
Ladakh region of J&K will be 78 Cms (Minimum expansion 5 Cms.)
The minimum chest for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will
be 76 Cms (Minimum expansion 5 Cms.)
7. ELIGIBILITY FOR RE-EMPLOYMENT OF EX-SERVICEMEN
Ex-Servicemen being trained soldier, will be required to take only trade test,
written test and medical fitness test to ascertain their medical category. As per the
Govt. order total relaxation in the prescribed physical standards and education is
admissible. Relaxation of upper age limit to the extent of military service plus three (3)
years is applicable. However, break in Army service and re-employment should not
exceed 24 months. No P.E.T is required for Ex-servicemen.
8. SELECTION PROCESS
No application is required to be submitted for recruitment of
Constable(Driver). The recruitment shall be held on an open rally system.
Willing/eligible candidates should appear before the Recruitment Board on 1/09/2010
at 0800 hrs. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests:-
a) HEIGHT BAR
b) 5 Kms Race (Qualifying Nature)
c) Identification of candidate
d) Screening of testimonials
e) Physical Measurement
f) Physical Efficiency Test
g) Trade Test
(i) FINAL SELECTION:-
i. The cut off percentage of marks for final selection will be as under:-
General and Ex-Servicemen : 35 %
SC/ST/OBC : 33 %
ii. The final selection of the candidates will be made in order of merit in each
category.
(j) MEDICAL EXAMINATION:-
i. Candidates who qualify the PET, Trade Test and written test and find
place in merit list will be put through detailed Medical Examination, to
assess their suitability/fitness for appointment. In case of medical
examination, “Temporary unfitness” will not be allowed.
Note :- Candidates equal to the number of vacancies in each category
and normal anticipated failures as per the past experience will be called
for medical examination. Even if there is a shortfall, no further round of
medical examination will be conducted. Unfilled vacancies will remain as
shortfall.
ii. Appeal against Medical Examination : -
a) If a candidate is declared unfit for appointment in CRPF during
Medical Examination, grounds for rejection will be communicated to
him in broad terms by the Medical Officer duly countersigned by the
Presiding Officer.

b) The candidate, if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer,
can submit an appeal for review medical examination with a proof of
his fitness in the form of a medical certificate as given in Annexure-
IV, from a Registered Medical Practioner, to the DIGP, Group
Centre, CRPF, Hakimpet(PO), Secundrabad, Ranga Reddy,
Andhra Pradesh-500 078.
c) The medical certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it
contains a note by the Registered Medical Practitioner concerned to
the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the
candidate has already been rejected as unfit for appointment by a
Medical Officer for appointment in CRPF.
d) The appeal will also not be taken into consideration unless it contains
medical re-examination fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees twenty five only)
through IPO/Banker's Cheque/Demand Draft in the name of the
Appellate Authority as mentioned above and the same should be
submitted within 15 days from the date of issue of the
communication in which the findings of the Medical Officer are
communicated to the candidate.
9. The candidates should produce following documents in ORIGINAL at the
time of recruitment :-
i) Educational certificates.
ii) Date of birth certificate. (Matriculation or 10th pass certificate).
iii) SC/ST/OBC Certificate, if applicable. It should be on the proforma as
prescribed in Annexure I & II respectively. Caste certificates
which are not in prescribed proforma as in Annexure-I & II
will not be accepted.
iv) Hillman or Tribesman certificate, which should be on the proforma as
prescribed in Annexure - III. (If the candidate belongs to any of the
category and desires to avail relaxation in height as prescribed for
such category).
v) Original Heavy Driving licence (HTV) .
vi) Discharge certificate in case of Ex-servicemen.
vii) No Objection Certificate in case of persons serving in Govt./Semi-
Govt. Departments.
viii) Four passport size recent photographs of the candidates
ix) In addition to the original certificates, the candidates will also bring
Xerox/photo-copy of educational certificates, Caste certificates and
driving licence duly attested by Gazetted officer.
10. In case any candidate is found ineligible or suppressing facts on any ground at
any time, before, during or after his selection/appointment, his services will be
terminated without assigning any reason.
11. OTHER CONDITIONS :-
a) Decision of the concerned recruitment board will be final.
b) On appointment, candidates shall be governed by the CRPF Act and Rules
as well as all such Govt. instructions/rules as applicable.
c) Candidates will have to appear for selection/test at their own
risk/expenses and no TA/DA will be admissible. They will also have to
make their own arrangements for stay during recruitment which may
continue for 5 to 10 days.
d) Department will not be held responsible for any accident/injury etc.

e) Education Certificate, testimonials, documents in original are required at
the time of recruitment. Candidates not producing original documents
shall be rejected at the initial stage itself.
f) Undergoing medical examination at the end of the recruitment process
does not guarantee appointment as the offer of appointment will be made
only according to allotted vacancies from the merit list in the order of
seniority of the candidates.
g) The candidates selected for appointment shall be subjected to Chest XRay
& Pathological test in the presence of a CRPF Medical Officer or in the
presence of an authorised official, at their own cost.
h) All the posts are combatised and are purely temporary but likely to
continue. Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India or
outside India.
i) Selected candidates will have to undergo prescribed training for specific
period at any of the Training Centres of the Force.
j) Canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence will automatically
disqualify the candidate from appearing in tests without notice.
k) All the candidates who wish to appear for enlistment are advised to go
through the instructions carefully.
Note :- Be aware of Touts. No money is charged for recruitment in CRPF.
If anyone demands money or promises recruitment inform the
Presiding officer of recruitment board immediately.
