I have recently applied for job in recruitment known as Pandayan Seven Seas they are offering jobs in Indian shipping, they have offered me a job as an 'Computer Operator' with 30000 salary per month but the problem is they are demanding 20000 for CDC which i have to pay in cash and 20000 more as their service charge, which will be deducted from my first salary. so guys please guide me.

The offer looks fishy. This s a fake, scam fraud company.

No company really asks employer to pay money to work.

The company you are refering is worthy of being made a complaint to police.
I would strongly suggest you not to pay any money to any company.

Do not take up this offer. Dont get caught in a scam. Beware.

Look for a job where you will learn things and move up.
Specially so if you are a fresher.

Before joining a company check its creditionals it its fake, scam company, fraud company etc.

Think again. Why should you pay a company when you work for them?
It is "they" who are supposed to pay. Not you.

Now in India there is only on StarCruise which has CruiseShip called SuperStar Libra in Indian sea and they dont have any connection with this Manpower for providing Staff.on 30 June 2008 there was vacancy of Captain for CruiseShip from these Manpower , but when i asked them, Had anyone joined job on Cruiseship till now , they reply me saying No.Its strange even after 6 Month of opening for job noone had joined till now.Anyway they also told me that they have got CDC list of people who are joining from 1st week of March. So let us wait and watch till then.Can anyone confirm me if they had received CDC or training or Offer letter from this Manpower after paying Money

Dear All,
I had seen the ad. of this company on "timesjobs.com" , and I applied to them. From the contact nos. of their Ahmedabad office I had called and fixed the interview at Ahmedabad on July'2009. As I had previous experience as Security Incharge, they called me to apply as Security Incharge and forwarded me to Mumbai office for second interview. I had visited them in Mumbai, then for Medical examination at Vashi costing Rs.6250/. As I had appeared for medical, I had received my medical reports copy through courier on my residence address showing FIT for the duty. I had further called them for other procedures, then they informed "CDC will take almost 2-3 months, after that your training will start at VIZAG, and the total expenses for CDC and training Rs. 40,000 will be deducted from your salary when you start your job."
Now, from reading the previous posts, I am little bit vorried, and decided to wait and watch. Meanwhile, if any one get more info. or recently appointment through them pl. put sms on 9376946535.

my uncle is in shipping industry and lives in vizag, the same place they r suppose to provide their training. after a lil inquiry my unle found that there s no such training going on at the vizag docks.
so i guess v would rather b forgetting the dreams which came with d imaginary high salary n get on with our respective lives.

Have been reading through many of the doubts and curiosities on this site regarding this Seven seas Manpower agency. I'm basically a marine engineer and have many years of experience in this field. For all of your understanding let me explain the modus operandi of companies like this one.

Normally once you fill up the form after paying 100-200 Rs, they will confirm your eligibility and will send you for medical which costs 2500 Rs. After the medical they will request for fees for making CDC i.e 20000 and will ask you to wait for 3-4 months..

In the above mentioned story let us take an average of 50 persons visiting their office.

The total income generated for the day will be 5000 Rs, only for the Application form.

Let us take 40 people out of 50 , goes for the medical. Total amount they recieve for medical after deducting the Doctors commission ( say 500 Rs) will be 80000 Rs.

Let us assume that 25 people out of this 50 agrees to pay 20000 for CDC . So income on CDC will be 500000 Rs.

So the total income becomes Rs. 585000

For a complete month ( say for 20 days ) will be Rs.11700000.. that's a huge amount of money....if he invest this amount in various properties or Share market he can easily double this amount...So some of you may feel cheated after 4-5 months time and will approach him to return your money. He will easily return your 20000 , because he has already made enough interest on his capital amount!!!

FYI, it ie clearly mentioned in the Indian Merchant Shipping act that, no recruitment agency should recieve any amount for the employment of any person as a seaman and all these recruitment companies shoud have a license ( RPSL NO)issued by Director General of shipping ( for more information you can visit www.dgshipping.com).

For all these years I have never heard any shipping companies asking for me to pay for the application form. Secondly the medical has to be conducted by a Dr. approved by D.G shipping and the charges are well below 800 Rs. Also please note that CDC costs weel below Rs 500 and procedure for obtaining CDC could be found from the internet too....

After hearing about this company I was a bit curious and visited their office. Form the first appearence itself I could make out that they are not doing normal business there....

So please beware of these type of persons and stay away from them as far as possible. That's not enough... educate your colleagues and friends about this....

even i had been to seven seas n they have taken my academic certificates photo copy and residence proof and Rs 100 as a registration fees.. they have selected me as office staff and ask me to do a medical checkup on a vashi based hospital of their refference and i have told to pay Rs 4750 for that medical check up and later on i would have to pay 22000 and they will deduct more 20000 from my first salary..

they advertised for jobs in IRELAND, so i submitted my C.V after which i was shortlisted so they tld me to do medical paying 2000 rs. also tld to pay 3000 as sec deposit which is refundable. now the process will take around 45 days for obtaining work permit i was informed. once its there i will have to pay remaining 32000 rs of their service charge.

also the governmental procedure is 7 days at max and also u can verify the CDC number also registered with the help of this website link.

Even my friend has visited the 'Pandayan Seven Seas Manpower Recruitment', Chembur office yesterday i.e.22/12/2009 for the post of Housekeeping Supervisor. For an interview they had taken Rs.1000. Interviewed him and for shock even when he doesnot know english he is been selected for a salary of Rs.60,000/-. And now he is been asked for a medical test in Navi Mumbai, Vashi at Ashirwad Diagnostic Centre for an amount of Rs.5000/-. Then he have to pay Rs.40,000/- for the CDC and then after 3 months they will get a call letter and they will be sent to Vishakhapatnam for training. The training would be for 15 days and then the Indian ship executive will take the interview and if only they will select you will be working for the Indian ship otherwise the hard earned money which u will invest will be duped.......he is still confused.......pls advice?

I gave my interview at Pandayan Seven Seas in their Chembur office. they said that i need to get my medical done for which the expense was 6250 which i paid at the hospital and they said that the cost of CDC which is 40000 will be deducted from my salary. i also met a guy there who said that he paid 17000 8 months back but he has not received any response from the company till date. I got a confirmation call from Mumbai office towards the positive medicals and said that they are processing the CDC file and shall receive the same post 3 months. recently through a well known newspaper my friend told me about this pandayan thing...
i went to this company now in chembur,mumbai....
well the ambience was ok...
i gave my bio-data and all my experience certificates...
one lady she tookes my interview....and she offered me a job of helper as with starting dazzling salary of 40,000pm.....i was very much delighted...then first jerk came...she told me to do a medical check-up for Rs.4800...shegave some receipts and a visiting card and told me that u hav selected and u have to wait about three months from the medical thing done....and after medical i hav to pay Rs.22,000 for CDC...

doubt 1- they don't have any person's name or identity on the visiting card
doubt 2- they put the stamp of address not the printed one they have
doubt 3- they charge up 4800 for medical which is insane
doubt 4- mostly i inquired that ppl get CDC certificate without training
doubt 5- i called up some officials in leading post in overseas company they said NO to this.
doubt 6- they are not sure and confident

i hav decided to b happy with what i have,rather than loosing my harwork earned money....now it's upto u.....beware !!!!

Dear Friends,
i accidently saw this site, im a merchand navy Engineer and i have sailed in Oil Tankers and Cruise liners as Engineer officer.previously i have posted sum useful information about how to get a CDC ,and im sad to hear that many people have been cheated.by some fraud companies by offering jobs in shipping line. Plz make a note that u wil not recieve a CDC(Continous discharge certificate) through any agent. u have to apply by post along with the application form duely filled and a DD Rs 500/- favouring shipping master,mumbai.(plz refer to my last post for CDC application form).

Ok Guys, i am an Seaman, And i have Every documents,
As of not seven seas says CDC cost Something for 22000 INR, its fake,
Normally you cant get the Best CDC Like that which is Indian CDC,
If you have Indian CDC then You can work on any shipping company in India,
indian Cdc Normally cost 3000 Rs, But you cant Get it now as now for this CDC you need to go under training for minimum 6 months, as pre sea,

Now if they offer panama or Liberian or marshal CDC it dont worth so dont waste your Money,
Normally now a days To work on Ship u need Indian CDC,
CDC : Continuous Discharge Certificate and it is given by DG Shipping only after successfully completing the 6 months Pre sea,
After that as well no one give Job Guarantee,
In 2003 i have paid 10000 rs for training in approved institute and paid 10000 for getting a job in 1 shipping company, so its not so easy to get on ship, but yes just after 1 year of work experience i got a good job on 1 leading shipping company as a seaman, and was getting more then 45000 rupees which worth,

Hi Friends,

I have recently been interviewed by Pandayan Seven Seas and they have offered me a job of a supervisor in Customer services with salary of 65K. However when I asked them which cruise liner it is they were not disclosing the details of the cruise line and hence I spoke to the HR Manager there and he said the name of the company is Cruise Liner and its Canadian Based.

I have checked google and could not find any such cruise liner.

I have been asked to pay 35000 for CDC Document and rest half of the CDC document will be paid by the company.

After reading so many complains I am now very scared as I have already spend 6K in medical exmanination test.

guys is this a fraud or has anyone actually got a job thru these people?

I got selected and they asked me to pay for the medical, an amount of rs. 5000 and Rs. 33090 for the cdc and processing. i paid this amount on 10-11-2010. they told me that within 2 months i will be getting a call from there to join for the work and then they would send me for training. but its been such a long time now but they are not being rplying to any queries. whenever i ask they say they will be sending the letter in 2 days time. and now the number is not at all answerable. the number is 02225218822. please reply to me query at your earliest..

I am also the affected person by pandian 7seas.I had gone for interview at ahmedabad in march'11 and also to mumbai fr medical.I had applied fr computer operator fr whch they hd told salary 45000 Rs.And it was free recruit.They just told to pay at about 6250 Rs fr medical and told 3 months time fr cdc but till there is nt gone anythg right.Every 25th they tell tht i wil recv the call & letter.Stil i m caling on 25th of every month.Before going interview i had seen on net that it is a fraud company bt even than i had th game.Plz i request to al tht dnt do th same thing as i had done.BELIEVE THS ALL R TRUE COMPLAINTS.

guys i had visited this company too it's completely fake. they r having all their staff members under 18. i saw there one man whom they cheated, he paid 40,000 to get job on domestic cruise and they ask him to wait for 3 months but he was rotating over there from last one and half year.

they r even having commission on medical test they ask us to do medical test with their bonded medical centre in vashi.
