JOB Responsibilities

- The implementation of the site Quality Plan and all procedures and specification concerning the inspection of the project.
- Shell development inspections as per code API-650/620/ BS-7777 for storage tank.
- Co-ordination of Quality inspection matters with management, Client and Customers.
- Review and Acceptance of Material Receiving inspection for  Plates/Pipes, Fittings, Valves, Instruments, and vendor supplied  Equipments.
- Initiating, recommending and assisting in providing effective solution  to such problems that may arise concerning visual inspection, magnetic  particle testing, inspection, penetrant testing and Radiographic testing  inspection.
- Ensuring Quality Standard and Procedures are maintained.
- Fully responsible for Radiographic interpretation.
- Supervision and inspection Welding, Pre-heat and Post Weld Heat Treatment of weld.
- Monitoring all types of process documentation required for fabrication, erection and commissioning etc.
- Review and Acceptance of Material Receiving inspection for  Plates/Pipes, Fittings, Valves, Instruments, and vendor supplied  Equipments
- Development and implementation of inspection checklist and report/format.
- Preparation of QA/QC procedures for various clients
- Co Ordination of all Destructive and Non-destructive testing at various sites for different materials... 
- Conduct Welding Procedure qualification test.
- Conducting/Witnessing Welder qualification test and issue certificates
- The job involves daily inspection of fabricated pipes and structures,  welding inspection, quality control, Radiographic Film interpretations  etc.
- Responsible for alloy verification
- Monitoring and ensuring that the appropriate consumables being distributed to welders in order to make sound weld.
- Inspection of dissimilar metal joining such as stainless steel to carbon steel. 
- Qualification & performance monitoring of welding personnel
- Monitoring of various welding process like GTAW,SMAW ,FCAW (auto &semi auto) & SAW
- Witness the tests such as vacuum test, diesel penetration test,  measurement accuracy test, PT, MPI & Hardness tests of tank bottom,  Corner, and shell.
- Settlement checking of big Tanks, line checking, mechanical and QC clearance of hydro test packages

- Perform line checking/prepare and check official test pack prior to  release for hydro/Pneumatic testing by ensuring that all welding  inspection and NDT activities affecting the quality of welds contained  in each piping spools of an isometric have been completed and accepted.
- Familiarize with Approved Drawings, Governing Standards and Specification.
