[B]JOB RESPONSIBILITIES [/B]: [B]PREVENTIVE MAITANENCE [/B]: - Periodic checking of machines by using the check list. - Maitaining the DG, Aircompressor & strapping machine. [B]FAULT MANAGEMENT – BSS LEVEL 1 ENGINEER [/B]: - Troubleshooting & debugging the faults in Vodafone GSM network along with diagnosing the different units at BSS level. - To conduct network surveillance, take ownership of faults, manage & resolve the fault with minimal outage. - Analyzing & rectifying BTS related alarms. - To ensure smooth running of the network by resolving various faults within SLA. - To act upon critical outages effectively & reduce network outage to the maximum. - Diagnosis of faults for all units of BSC as well as BTS. - Checking status of signaling links & Circuit Groups to Enhance the Network performance. - Analyzing root causes of site down as well as BTS parameters & providing solutions on it. - Preparing regular database backup (Fallbacks) for NOKIA BSC3i & Maintenance of Ater & Abis links. - Provide the remote BTS support for BSS O&M engineer through BTS manager for creation & deletion of TRX, LAPD & OMU signaling time slot and also the cross connection, frequency changing & analysis the traffic measurements. - Perform various maintenance activities to ensure smooth running of the network. [B]Preventive Maintenance [/B]: - Periodic BSC Software backup bi-monthly to ensure safety of BSC data. - Perform diagnosis & switchover of all computational units to minimize hardware faults, thus prevent network outage. [B]Trouble shooting of BSS Elements [/B]: - Notification of Service Affecting / degradation faults / alarms & fixing the same in the network within the operator specific SLA & OLA. - Perform audit of Network performance using PM reports (Worst performing cells, sleeping cells, zero call cells, VSWR issues, TCH Completion / Assignment, etc) that creates impact on NQI of the network. - Analyze KPI reports & rectify the faults. - Intensive analyses of cell outage reports & minimize the network outage to ensure maximum network availability. - Resolve GPRS related issues, related to data traffic. - Resolve faults due to configuration mismatch - Analyze various Real Time reports & fix the issues immediately based on severity (Real Time FM reports, online active alarm report, Real time CGR report, etc) - Effective co-ordination with various operations within the organization to resolve issues related to the concerned within OLA. - Co-ordinate with care team & Technical Support Group related to issues that involve critical outages. [B]BSS MONITORING ENGINEER [/B]: - Monitoring the functionality of vodafone network for 12 Circles in India. - Providing the level 1 support to remote NOKIA Switches on DX200 platform. - Identification of alarms and alarm handling in BSS. - Traffic measurement and Analysis. - Escalation of faults and maintaining the records of the same. - Analysis & troubleshooting of BTS through MML commands. - Preparing of 24Hrs cell outage reports and active alarms reports. - Implementation of the changes in the network as per requirement through TLUI.
