Job Description
Responsibilities: -

1. Accounts and other related work like maintaining books of accounts, payroll processing, maintaining registers, liaisoning with banks and clients, compliance of statutory dues, etc.
2. Finalization of statutory and tax audits of Portelet Group companies in India and Singapore.
3. Complying with Statutory Deadlines (Income tax, Sales tax, Profession tax, Provident Fund, etc)
4. Well versed with Direct & Indirect Tax (Advance tax Calculations, follow up for tax matters in Income Tax department, attending Assessments proceedings, filing returns etc.)
5. MIS reporting for the Portelet Group Companies.
6. Liaison with Internal & External agencies (Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, Sales tax authorities, Reserve Bank, Registrar of Companies, Company Secretary, etc.)
7. Assurance matters, such as in particular compliance with statutory deadlines applicable to direct / indirect taxes and under company law & other laws incl. RBI / FEMA
8. Direct / indirect taxation matters, including international taxation (DTAA).
9. Keeping track of latest amendments, their interpretation & implementation in all the relevant work related fields.

Desired Candidate Profile
Summary of Requirements: -

-- Only Mumbai based candidates need apply.
-- Age between 25 - 30
-- Graduate in a business/commerce field with minimum 2 - 3 years relevant experience, computer proficient; good skills in working with Internet/Email.
-- Soft Skills: Pleasing personality, proactive with good communication skills.
-- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to set priorities and work to tight deadlines, able to multitask.
-- International exposure is welcomed.
-- Good command over English (oral and written)
-- Experienced in independently handling all accounting functions, including data entry, compliance with statutory obligations and periodic returns like Income Tax, TDS, Sales Tax, Service Tax, Excise & Customs, Import & Export transactions & related work, foreign remittances, etc. would be preferred.
-- Should have computer operating knowledge and be proficient in accounting packages e.g. tally, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
-- Ability to co-ordinate with auditors and finalize accounts, accounts reconciliation, analytical skills, etc.
