Job Description
Core Technologies
Our web-based products and custom projects are developed using the following core technologies:

* J2EE (Java, Servlets, JSP)
* Apache/Jakarta Projects (Tomcat, Axis, Derby, Lucene)
* XML
* Web Services (SOAP, WSDL)
* Adobe Flex
* Dynamic Imaging

You will create NetXposure's next generation product and be focused primarily on the user-facing components. You'll be crafting powerful SOA-based rich internet application (RIA) clients in Adobe Flex (including MXML and ActionScript 3). You may also work on the backend web applications that supports this new initiative.

Requirements

* 3+ years experience with object-oriented framework and design
* 3+ years experience working with Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and others.
* 2+ years direct experience Flex Builder, including MXML and ActionScript 3
* 2+ years experience writing user-facing code
* 2+ years experience connecting to back-end services
* Ability to write clean, coherent code
* Ability to understand and master new technologies quickly
* Thrive on developing innovative ideas and executing them
* Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and to teach

Desired but not required:

* Experience with Adobe/Macromedia Flash
* Knowledge of Flex Data Services.
* AJAX and other rich web techniques
* Experience implementing standards-based web application user interfaces
* Knowledge of Java or other web application language

Responsibilities

Contribute to the team developing a Web-based server software product and/or periodic professional service engagements.

Design and implement user interface classes and testing code for those classes.

Provide reliable and consistent estimates for work to be performed, and keep other members of the team informed of schedule progress and changes during development.

Consistently work to improve product performance, scalability, maintainability, and security; and consistently work to deliver product that will help the company lead its market.

Consistently work to reduce defect (bug) occurances in the user interface system, and help other team members locate, diagnose, and fix defects across the company's products.

Periodically interface with customers to at first ascertain application issues and finally resolve and convey the solution.

Work in a team of developers locally; coordinate with staff in other offices.
