 [B][U]Role and Responsibilities[/U][/B]: 
Under the guidance of Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator, the incumbent shall perform the following role and responsibilities in project entitled “Adding Life to Centuries’ Dying Art: A Comparative Market Analysis between Tangaliya Shawls & Kutch work Shawls”. (This is a research project related to the Law on Geographical Indications):- 
(i) Provide research assistance to Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator; 
(ii) Conduct interdisciplinary research in view of aim and objectives of the Project; 
(iii) Provide input on research project through emerging research developments in the relevant field; 
(iv) Perform project related duties including administrative, coordination, etc. as required to achieve the aim and objectives of the Project; 
(v) Any other research or project related work which may be assigned by the Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator.

[B][U]Essential Criteria[/U][/B]: 
(i) Graduate Degree in any stream, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university; 
(ii) Those awaiting final semester/year result may also apply; 
(iii) Working experience in MS Office, basic knowledge of information technology; 
(iv) Expert knowledge of Gujarati as the investigator will have to interact and interview artisans from Rural Gujarat; Working knowledge of English language; 
(v) Ability in preparing field investigation report and analysis related with the research and field investigation results.

[B][U]Highly desirable[/U][/B]: 
(i) An interest in Intellectual Property Rights and related research and development; 
(ii) Good knowledge of latest national and international research trends and developments in relevant area; 
(iii) Excellent inter-personal and team-building skills; 
(iv) Ability to conduct research work.

[B][U]Important Notes[/U][/B]: 
** This appointment is purely on temporary basis till the completion of the project or as per requirement. 
** The Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator retains the discretion not to make any appointment to this vacancy, to make an appointment at a revised remuneration, or to make an appointment with a modified job description and to fix revised qualification and requirements. 
** Only short listed candidates will be called for Interview on 26th December 2017. Reporting time for Interview is 1000 hrs. 
** Qualified female, reserved category, minority candidates are strongly encouraged. 
** Candidates are required to bring three copies of their resume with photograph affixed on all copies, Original and one set of photocopy of their Academic certificates, Experience certificate and other documents. 
** No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. 
** Selected candidate shall not be considered as an Employee of GNLU for any purposes whatsoever. 
** Selected candidate needs to join the project immediately after declaration of the result.
