[B][U]Junior Mentors  Recruitment [/U][/B]:
Applications are invited from eligible candidates having teaching/research/industry background for engagement as Junior Mentor at Innovation Hub of Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Kasturba Road, Bangalore for a period of one year. Eligible retired candidates can also apply.

The candidates will be required to spend additional days with the students/ members as and when required for the sak e of progress of work/projects.

[B][U]Remuneration [/U][/B]: Rs. 25000/- per month consolidated

[B][U]Qualification & Experience[/U][/B]: Should have minimum Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering with proven aptitude for hands on activities and experimental skills.
[B][U]Age[/U][/B]: There is no age bar - Eligible retired candidates may also apply.

The last date for receipt of application on plain paper, along with credentials is 31.12.2017. VITM reserves the right to reject any or all applications at any stage without assigning any reason whatsoever.

[B][U]Scope of work[/U][/B]: 
** To assist the Chief Mentor; 
** To guide and assist the students/ members in carrying out the innovative/ investigative projects in the innovation Hub; 
** To attend to the Innovation Hub/Labs on weekends and during holidays/ vacations  when students/ member s are available as and when required;
** To manage the day to day activities of Innovation Hub;
** Monitoring and preparation of progress reports and upkeep of instruments / gadgets used for Innovation Hub activities; 
** Coordination with other institutions/labs for conducting experiments, when required.

The application neatly typed or hand written on plain paper, along with self attested copies of credentials of qualification and experience should reach to “The Director, Visvesvaraya Industrial & Tech nological Museum, Kasturba Road, Bangalore-560001” on or before 31/12/2017 up to 03.00 P.M..

Applications received without the signature of the candidate or without the copies of credentials towards qualification & experience will be summarily rejected. The envelope containing application should be super scribed as “Application for Junior Mento rship at VITM, Bangalore.”

Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bangalore (VITM), a constituent unit of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, was established in memory of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya.

A modest building with a built up area of 4000 sq. mtrs., was constructed in the serene surrounding of the Cubbon Park, housing various industrial products and engines, which was opened by the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 14.07.1962. The first gallery set up at VITM on the theme ‘Electricity” was opened to the public on 27.07.1965 by the then Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting & Bharat Ratna Indira Gandhi.
