Applications are invited for the post of Steno Typist

[B][U]Post Name [/U][/B]: Steno Typist 
[B][U]No. of posts [/U][/B]: One (1) – (Reserved for SC Candidate) 
[B][U]Pay Scale [/U][/B]: Rs.10300 - 34800 + 3200 Grade Pay + allowance on Punjab Govt. pattern.

[B][U]Qualification & Experience [/U][/B]: 
(a) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution ; and 
(b) Qualifies a test in English with shorthand/ typing speed of 80 w.p.m./40 w.p.m. and Punjabi Stenography with shorthand/typing speed of 50 w.p.m/20 w.p.m.

(c) Possess at least 120 hours course with hands on experience in the use of Personal Computers or Information Technology in Office Productivity application or Desktop Publishing applications from Govt. recognized Institutions or a reputed Institution, which is ISO 9001 certified

OR 
Possesses a Computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ level certificate of Department of Electronics, Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) of Govt. of India.

[B][U]Age [/U][/B]: Below 45 years. 
[B][U]Tenure [/U][/B]: The appointment is purely on contractual basis for one year (likely to be extended based on performance).

[B][U]Proactive Disclosure of Punjab State Council for Science & Technology[/U][/B] :
The Right to Information Bill, 2005 was passed by the Parliament on 12-5-05 and it received the ascent of President of India on 15-6-05. It came on the statute book as the Right to Information Act. As per provisions of section-4(b) of the above Act every public authority shall publish 17 manuals as prescribed in the above section to achieve the goals and objects of the Act.

[B][U]Steps to be taken to avail RTI[/U][/B] : 
** A citizen is required to file an application giving details of information required to Public Information Officer/Assistant Public Information Officer.
** A person who desires to seek information is required to send, along-with the application fee of Rs.10/- in cash/IPO/cheque.
** The applicant may also be required to pay further fee towards the cost of providing the information, details of which shall be intimated to the applicant by the PIO as prescribed from time to time[/QUOTE]
