Recruitment of Field Officers in Cotton and Basmati projects (Last Date 17-07-2017)

The Reviving Green Revolution Cell seeks to recruit Field Officers, purely on temporarily and contractual basis to work in the projects “Integrated Productivity Management to enhance Livelihoods through Agriculture based Interventions using Information Technology Tools through Farmer Producer Organizations in Punjab” and WWF-India funded project “Upscaling Sustainable Cotton Production with Smallholders across 300 villages in South-Western districts of Punjab”.

The post carries a fixed Honorarium of Rs 35,000/- per month, Daily allowance @ Rs. 200/- per day during field visits, and traveling allowance as per organization norms. The job requires extensive traveling and knowledge of computer application skills. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview at Ludhiana.

[B][U]Field / Lab. Helper Recruitment [/U][/B]:
Post(s) of Field / Lab. Helper - Entomology (Last Date 07-08-2017 and Interview on 11-08-2017 at 10.30 AM)

Applications are invited for the filling-up of the post(s) of Field / Lab. Helper @ Rs 9,000/- per month (fixed) on contractual basis with the following qualifications :
10+2 with Punjabi upto Matric level with four years experience as Field / Lab. Coordinator / Junior Helper
OR
Matric with Punjabi with eight years experience as Field / Lab. Coordinator / Junior Helper

[B][U]Age [/U][/B]: 18-63 years
[B][U]Desirable [/U][/B]: Preference will be given to the candidates who are already assisting in the conduct of field experiments or handling of samples for laboratory analysis.

[B][U]Note [/U][/B]: 25% and 12% posts are reserved for candidates belonging to scheduled caste / tribes and backward classes belonging to Punjab State, respectively. 13% posts are reserved for Ex-serviceman and 3% posts are reserved for physically handicapped persons.

The desirous candidates fulfilling the qualifications / experience should send their applications on plain paper complete in all respect along with attested copies of the testimonials and a bank draft of Rs 50/- in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana to this office on or before 7.8.2017.

Applicant must mention his/her name in Capital letters on the back side of the Bank Draft / Banker cheque. They should appear before the Selection Committee for interview on 11.8.2017 at 10.30 A.M. in the office of undersigned.

No separate letter will be issued. The original copies of testimonials should also be brought at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview. The services of the incumbent(s) are liable to the terminated at any time without any notice.

The Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab. It was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Prime Minister of India on July 8, 1963. On trifurcation of Punjab in November 1966, Haryana Agricultural University was carved out of PAU by an Act of Parliament in February 1970. Later, in July 1970, Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidalya was established.
