[B][U]SOUNTH Talent Hunt Competition[/U][/B]:
It gives us immense pleasure to invite the students of your Department/Institute/College to participate in the Kashmir University’s Spring Festival, “SOUNTH-2017”, a 4-day Art & Literary Festival being held from 20 to 23, March 2017 at Gandhi Bhawan.

The festival is providing the best opportunities to the students to manifest their hidden talent and potentialities. In this connection, it is requested to please select the talented students of your Department /Institute /College for the above Talent Hunt Competition.

The nomination list of selected students should reach to our office, in the enclosed pro-forma (at Annexure-A) positively, by or before 18th March, 2017. Students may also be directed to study the rules and regulations for the various events given in the Annexure “B” enclosed herewith.

[B][U]Rules & Regulations[/U][/B]:
[B][U]On The Spot Painting[/U][/B]:
1. Each Institute/Department will be represented by 4 participants.
2. Item will be conducted on the spot and participants will be requested to do
3. Painting on the subject given by the In-charge (s) of the competition.
4. Duration will not be more than 2 hours 30 minutes.
5. Size of the painting will be half imperial size drawing paper i.e. 22 inches X 15 inches.
6. Painting can be done in oil, water, poster or pastel colours.
7. Candidate shall bring their own material like brushes, paints etc. Only the paper/ sheet will be provided by the host institute.
8. Admission to the Painting Competition will be subject to the presentation of a letter of the credentials from the head of the institution certifying the bonafide status of the participants. Identity Cards with photographs signed by the appropriate authorities by the respective Departments / Colleges should also be carried by the participants.

[B][U]On The Spot Collage[/U][/B]:
1. Each Institute will be represented by one participant.
2. Item will be conducted on the spot on the given topic / subject, sheet size 15” X 22”.
3. Duration will not be more than 2 hours 30 minutes.
4. Participants shall bring their own scissors, pasting and other material required for the contest.
5. Collage has to be prepared from old magazines. The host University will provide the drawing paper of the size 22” X 15”.
6. Admission to the Collage Competition will be subject to the presentation of a letter of the credentials from the head of the institution certifying the bonafide status of the participants. Identity Cards with photographs signed by the appropriate authorities by the respective Departments / Colleges should also be carried by the participants.

[B][U]On The Spot Poster Making[/U][/B]:
1. Each Institute will be represented by one participant.
2. Item will be conducted on the spot and the participants will be requested to do poster making on the subject / topic / theme given by the In- charge of the competition.
3. Duration will not be more than 2 hours 30 minutes.
4. Participants shall bring their own material. Only the Drawing paper/ Sheet 22” x 15” will be provided by the organizers.
5. Admission to the Poster Competition will be subject to the presentation of a letter of the credentials from the head of the institution certifying the bonafide status of the participants. Identity Cards with photographs signed by the appropriate authorities by the respective Departments / Colleges should also be carried by the participants.

[B][U]Spot Photography Competition[/U][/B]:
1. Institution can send one participant only
2. The participant has to bring his/her own camera
3. The digital camera should have a memory card which will be formatted by the judges before the commencement of the contest .The time limit will be 2.30 hours
4. The participant has to capture 3 photographs on the theme announced on the spot by the judges
5. No mixing, matching or morphing of photographs will be permitted.
6. Software such as Photoshop etc. for enhancing images not permitted.
7. The organizers will have all rights for the use of these pictures as and when they deem fit.
