RECRUITMENT NOTICE FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLES

Applications on the prescribed format are invited for recruitment to the  posts of constables in Himachal Pradesh Police Department in the pay  scales of Rs.5910-20200 +Grade Pay Rs.1900/-(initial start Rs.7800) and  after 8 years of regular service Pay Band will be Rs.10300-34800+Rs.3200  G.P. as per H.P. Govt.’s letter No. Home(A)B(1)17/2014 dated  21.01.2016.

Candidate must have valid registration in any of the Employment  Exchanges of HP on the date of submission of Application Form and he/she  must be a bonafide Himachali as per record. Such candidates can also  apply who are appearing in +2 Examinations.

[B][U]SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION [/U][/B]:
The applications on the prescribed format will be submitted by the  candidates on or before 15" March, 2016 upto 5.00 P.M. in the office of  the district Superintendent of Police concerned in H.P.(including Tribal  Districts L&S. Kinnaur and tribal area of district Chamba) of which  he/she is resident as per record. A processing see of Rs.120/- (Rs. One  hundred twenty) only shall be charged from each candidate from the  General category and Rs. 30/- (Rs.Thirty) only from each candidate  belonging to the categories of the SC/ST/OBC/ IRDP in the shape of a  Bank draft/IPO to be drawn in favour of the district Superintendent of  Police concerned. Any application form not accompanied by the requisite  processing fee will not be entertained.

[B][U]Note[/U][/B]: The category once written by the candidate  in his/her application form will be taken as final and will not be  re-eonsidered or changed during the further recruitment process.

[B][U]MODE OF RECRUITMENT[/U][/B]:
The recruitment will be held at all the district Headquarters in H.P.  The dates for recruitment will be notified separately, The district-wise  distribution of posts to be filled up is given as website.
  
[B][U]Written Examination[/U][/B]:
Written examination will be held in the respective districts, preferably  on the same day for all districts. Written examination will be of 80  marks of objective type of 60 minutes duration. It will include  questions on the English & Hindi Languages, General Awareness, Maths  & Science and Reasoning Aptitude. The written examination shall be  of 10+2 standard except Mathematics for which standard shall be of  Matriculation.

Personality Test shall consist of 15 marks. Candidates will be called  for Personality Test from amongst those who have qualified, in the ratio  of 3 persons for each post. Candidates who possess NCC certificates  will be given a weightage of additional 3 marks for NCC(C) Certificate  and 2 additional Marks for NCC(B) certificate in Personality Test. A  candidate, who has both these certificate, will be given marks only for  NCC(C) Certificate (out of above 15 marks for Personality Test).
