ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGICAL SCHOLARSHIP 2014-15 (FRESH & RENEWAL) :
ADVERTISEMENT FOR AWARDING SCHOLARSHIP (FRESH) UNDER Engineering & Technological SCHEME 2014-15

Online Applications at [URL="http://www.dteassam.in"]www.dteassam.in[/URL] are invited from the students of Assam who fulfill the following general criteria for Engineering & Technological Scholarship.

[B][U]1. General Conditions of Eligibility[/U][/B]:
 The minimum qualifying marks to apply for the Scholarship shall be 50% in aggregate for Diploma & PG Courses and 50% in PCM for Degree Courses candidates in the relevant qualifying examination.
    The stipend and book grants are open only to a candidate who is a permanent resident of State of Assam. The Residential Proof/Certificate should issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the district. Certificate from any other authority will not be accepted. However, for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe applicants, the Caste certificate issued by the competent authority may be considered as P.R.C.
    The candidate should posses the relevant qualification from any recognized Institution. An original certificate from the Institution of study must be produced by the candidate.
    The student must not be in receipt of any other financial assistant from any other sources. A sponsored candidate under full employment during the period of study shall not be eligible to receive the stipend.
    Financial assistance of Stipend/Book-Grants shall be admissible to students taking admission in to the 1st year/entry level of the courses as shown below during the year 2014-15 specified in the list of subject and courses in all institutes recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development/respective Ministry of the Govt. of India.
    The Stipend/Book-Grant shall be tenable for the prescribed duration of a course. A student failing to pass in a particular year shall not receive further stipend till he/she passes the specific year of the course. The Institution shall certify to that effect and make specific recommendation there to.
    Candidates holding service are not covered by this scheme.
    Selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit in all cases.
    
    The present rate of stipends and subject/course is as under
    PG/ME     Rs. 1000/- p.m.
    MBA     Rs. 250/- p.m.
    Degree     Rs. 150/- p.m. (inside the state)
    Rs. 250/- p.m. (outside the state)
    + Rs. 475/- Book grant (one-time)
    Diploma     Rs. 150/- p.m. (inside/outside)
    *The rates are subject to revision from time to time

Reservations shall be as per norms followed by Government.

[U][B]3. How to apply[/B][/U]
Intending candidates must apply online at  dteassam.in in between 21st Oct. 2014 to 30th Nov., 2014 and take print-out after online submission, and submit it to the Principal/Head of the Institution, along with the necessary copy of certificates/testimonials.

The Principal/Head of the Institution are to send the documents to The Director of Technical Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-781019 on or before 15th December, 2014.

In case of doubt/clarification the matter shall be referred to the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19.

    Advertisement will be made by the month of October every year.
    Online Application shall be open till November 30, 2014.
    Hard copy of the Application Form along with all relevant documents are to be submitted to the Head of the institution where he/she is pursuing his/her course on or before November 30, 2014. The Head of the institutions shall send the Hard copy along with all relevant documents after verifying and filling necessary detail to the following address by 15th December, 2014 positively.
