[B][U]Name of the post [/U][/B]: EXECUTIVE TRAINEE in Electrical discipline.
[B][U]Upper Age Limit [/U][/B]: 28 years as on 31.12.2014

[B][U]Essential Qualification [/U][/B]: 
[B][U]Course [/U][/B]: Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) from recognized University/Institute
[B][U]Discipline [/U][/B]: Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering
[B][U]Percentage of Marks [/U][/B]: Minimum 65% or Equivalent CGPA *

[B][U]Course [/U][/B]: AMIE
[B][U]Discipline [/U][/B]: Electrical
[B][U]Percentage of Marks [/U][/B]: Minimum 65% with both Sections A & B cleared by 31.03.2015
Final Year / Semester students of Sl. No. 1 above who expect their results by 14.08.2015 are also eligible, provided they have obtained minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/years up to pre-final examination..

[B][U]Selection Process [/U][/B]: 
Interested & eligible candidates will have to appear for the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper of GATE 2015. Candidates obtaining a valid score (Marks out of 100) shall only be eligible for the next stage of selection. The score is valid only if the candidate obtains more than or equal to the qualifying marks as fixed for the EE paper of GATE 2015.

The selection process will include the Normalized Marks (Out of 100) obtained by the eligible candidates in the EE paper of GATE 2015, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the candidates who qualify in the GATE paper and are shortlisted category wise for the GD and interview. Candidates shall have the option for appearing the Group Discussion / Personal Interview in Hindi or English.

[B][U]Qualifying Marks in GATE 2015 [/U][/B]:  The qualifying marks for GATE Examination shall be as per the criteria adopted by the GATE 2015 examination conducting authority for different categories.

[B][U]Short listing of Eligible candidates for GD & Interview [/U][/B]:
Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks (Out of 100) in the EE paper of GATE 2015.
Candidates shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Interview shall be required to submit the documents as may be mentioned in their individual communication to be sent through e-mail/ Candidate login.

[B][U]Qualifying Marks in GD & Interview [/U][/B]: GD will not have any qualifying marks. Interview will have qualifying marks for different categories as mentioned below.
Unreserved - 40%
OBC (NCL)- 30%
SC - 30%
ST - 30%
PwD-  30%

[B][U]Weightage to Different Parameters[/U][/B]: 
For calculation of final score of a candidate for empanelment, the weightages assigned to the marks obtained in GATE 2015, Group Discussion and Interview shall be as indicated below;
Marks (out of 100) in the EE paper of GATE 2015- 85%
Group Discussion- 3%
Personal Interview- 12%

[B][U]How to Apply[/U][/B]:  
1. Candidates have to register themselves and appear for GATE 2015 in Electrical Discipline (Code EE).
2. Online Registration for GATE 2015 shall commence on 1st September 2014.
3. For details on GATE 2015, please visit  gate.iitk.ac.in/GATE2015/
4. A separate notification with details regarding number of vacancies, important instructions regarding submission of POWERGRID online application, date of interview etc. shall be hosted on our website, from 12th January 2015.
5. Application window for POWERGRID shall be open from 15th January 2015 to 27th February 2015. Candidates have to register themselves online at POWERGRID website with details of their GATE 2015 Application No., GATE 2015 Registration Number and other required information, which will be made available at CAREER section of powergridindia.com.
6. Candidates will be required to retain their GATE 2015 Admit card and Original GATE 2015 Score card for verification at the time of GD/ Interview / Joining in POWERGRID.
7. Group Discussion and Personal Interview are likely to be conducted in the months of May – June 2015.
