Persons residing within Kerala State for a continuous period of not less than two years immediately preceeding the date of application and who has lost her husband through death/divorce who has not remarried and is without any source of income or has only a nominal income below Rs.300/- per mensem and who has no relative of and above 20 years of age in the following categories viz.,father , mother,son. A woman is deemed to be awidow for the purpose of these rules if her husband has been missing for seven years. [B][U]How To Apply [/U][/B]: Application prepared in white paper affixing a Court Fee Stamp worth Rs. 5/- is submitted to the village officer [B][U]Note [/U][/B]: The application in Form I shall be submitted in duplicate to the Executive Authority of Local Authority of the area when the applicant has been residing continuously for not less than one year on the date of application [B][U]Approval Authority [/U][/B]: The Committee of the local body shall be the pension sanctioning authority. The Secretary of the local body will be issued pension sanctioned order [B][U]Exclusions [/U][/B]: The pension will not be sanctioned ot persons who resort to habitual begging, or admitted to poor home run by or with the aid of Governemnt or Local authority or in receipt of any pension or grant-in-aid underany other Welfare Scheme instituted by Central or State Government of Local Authority or by any organisation run with the aid of Central or State Government or of a Local Authority [B][U]Special Conditions [/U][/B]: The amount of pension sanctioned will be remitted by the Secretary of concerned local body tothepensioner by money order without deducating the commission. The pension is Rs. 110/- per mensem [B][U]Appellate Authority [/U][/B]: The appeal shall lie to the District Collector, within 30 days. The final orders on appeal shall be passed within one month from the date of reciept of the appeal petition[/QUOTE]
