[B][U]TAMILNADU COMMON ADMISSIONS (TANCA) 2014 [/U][/B]:
Applications are invited for Admission to M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes offered in the University Departments / Constituent Colleges, Government, Government Aided Engineering Colleges, and Self Financing Engineering Colleges in    Tamilnadu for the seats surrendered for admission through single window (TANCA 2014) counselling.

[B][U]Eligibility [/U][/B]:
Candidates who have passed all the subjects in the recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) in the qualifying degree examination as per AICTE norms
i. with TANCET 2014 score (or)
ii. with valid GATE 2014 score with qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship in the appropriate discipline of Engineering / Technology (or)
iii. with valid GATE 2014 score with qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers along with TANCET 2014 score

[B][U]Candidates in the following categories may apply for admission[/U][/B]:
a. Candidates appeared for the final semester / year examination of the qualifying degree programmes during April / May 2014, except A.M.I.E.

b. Candidates should produce an evidence for having passed all the subjects in the qualifying degree examination at the time of counselling, otherwise the candidates will not be permitted to attend counselling. Copy of results downloaded from net is permitted only when it is attested by the Head of Department concerned / Controller of Examinations.

c. Candidates with Section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates (e.g. A.M.I.E.) of the Institution of Engineers and other similar certificates of various professional bodies viz., Aeronautical Society of India etc., recognised by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India are considered to be equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech degree holders for admission to M.E./ M.Tech. degree programmes subject to the following conditions:
1. Candidates should have studied 10 + 2 years H.Sc. + AMIE (with 2 years experience) (or) 10 + 3 Years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE (with 2 years experience)
2. Two years regular full time Teaching experience / Industrial experience in the relevant field after passing all the subjects including project work. An experience certificate has to be produced by the candidate.
3. Must have valid GATE 2014 score with qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship or TANCET 2014 score.

[B][U]Application forms can be obtained in the following modes[/U][/B]:
 [B][U]IN PERSON[/U][/B]: Application form can be obtained IN PERSON by Cash / Demand Draft* for  ` 500/- for General (` 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu on  production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate card) towards registration fee  at the Institutions (sale centres) mentioned below.

Thanthai Periyar Govt.  Institute of Tech., Vellore, 14. University College of Engg., Villupuram, 15. Kamaraj  College of Engg. and Tech., Virudhunagar. 
 
  [B][U]BY POST[/U][/B]: 
  Application form can also be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft*  for ` 700/- for general (` 450/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu by  enclosing a copy of Permanent Community Certificate card), (includes postal charges)  along with a requisition letter and an address label written in capital letters to which the  application form is to be mailed.

* The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Tamil Nadu  Common Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 25” payable at Chennai drawn on or after 13.07.2014.

Counselling date will be intimated to the individuals through a call letter and will also be published in Anna University website.

Issue of application / Registration Date and Timings 14.07.2014 to 24.07.2014 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (including Saturday and Sunday) 
Last date for issue / Online Registration of applications 24.07.2014 (5.30 p.m.)
Last date for receipt of filled-in applications 25.07.2014 (6.00 p.m.)

[B][U]DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED WITH THE COMPLETED APPLICATION [/U][/B]:
The following documents should be enclosed with the filled-in application. Attested photocopies of (Originals should not be enclosed)
i X Std. Mark Sheet
ii XII Std. Mark Sheet or Diploma (3 years) Certificate.
iii Qualifying Degree certificate, provisional certificate and mark sheets of all semesters or Consolidated mark sheet. (Copy of both sides should be furnished)
iv Transfer certificate from the institution last studied.
v Valid GATE 2014 score card for GATE (Engineering / Technology) category.
vi Valid GATE 2014 score card and TANCET 2014 hall ticket for GATE (Engineering Science-XE / Life Science -XL) category.
vii TANCET 2014 hall ticket for Non-GATE category and for Sponsored full-time / day part-time category.
viii ‘Permanent Community Certificate’ in card format in the case of BC, BC Muslim, MBC / DNC & SC / SC (Arunthathiyars) / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu.
ix Certificate of Disability for Differently Abled Person (if applicable)
x Nativity Certificate (if applicable)
xi Copy of Identification certificate obtained from the Head Quarters Tahsildars or Visa, Passport and letter registered in Police Station (For Srilankan Refugee candidates)
xii Experience Certificate (if applicable).
xiii Self addressed and stamped (for ` 6/-) acknowledgement card.
