[B][U]4th National Solid Model Contest-2013 [/U][/B]:
** Vasavi College of Engineering is one of the leading colleges in Southern India and stood one among the TOP 50 private engineering colleges in India.
** We are pleased to inform you that the Mechanical Engineering Department is organizing a National Solid Modelling Contest during 1st week of Dec-2013.
** In recent years, rapid developments have been taken place in the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense and Manufacturing sectors.
[B][U]The objectives of this contest are[/U][/B]:
** To foster creativity and innovation in the design areas
** To motivate free and open ended thinking among students
** To nurture and promote design skills among upcoming design engineers.
** We therefore earnestly request you to give a wide publicity to this contest for your UG and PG students and encourage them to participate.

[B][U]Instructions [/U][/B]:
** Each team should have one or two members only.
** Each team can submit one or more models.
** The participants pursuing B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech and Diploma courses can take part in the competition.
** A brief description (not exceeding 20 words) of the part/ assembly.
** Last date for submission of Solid model along with supporting files by email: 14.10.2013.
** Participants should send DECLARATION OF AUTHENTICITY form attested by Head of the Department and CD on or before 21.10.2013 by post.
** Shortlisted participants will be intimated by 3rd week of November, 2013.
** Declaration of result/ valedictory function on 05.12.2013.
** Candidate(s) should be present in person for the presentation at the time of Valedictory function.

[B][U]Important Note[/U][/B]:
** All the CAD files in a CD along with the Authenticity Form (Hard Copy) Must be Sent to the following Address by post only (No Courier)
