RECRUITMENT RALLY FOR GROUP 'X' (TECHNICAL) TRADES
AT SEETHAKATHI SETHUPATHY STADIUM, COLLECTORATE CAMPUS,
RAMANATHAPURAM (TAMIL NADU) FROM 18 OCTOBER 2013 TO 23 OCTOBER 2013

Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from the designated Districts of State Tamil Nadu, Union Territories of Puducherry, Karaikal and Andaman & Nicobar Islands to become airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades will be held at Seethakathi Sethupathy Stadium, Collectorate Campus, Ramanathapuram (Tamil Nadu) from 18 October 2013 to 23 October 2013 as per the Selection Programme given below.

[b][u]Selection Programme [/u][/b]:  The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates reporting upto 10AM at the Rally venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Rally.

[b][u]Date Of Birth Block  [/u][/b]:
(a) Candidates should be born between 01 FEBRUARY 1994 to 31 MAY 1997 (both days inclusive).
(b) Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.

[b][u]Educational Qualification [/u][/b]: 
(a) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English, with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
(b) Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology /Information Technology) from a Government recognised Polytechnic Institute with minimum 50% marks in overall aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma.
[b][u]Note [/u][/b]: - Exact aggregate percentage of marks up to first place of decimal for all subjects as mentioned in the Marks Sheet of Intermediate or 10+2/equivalent (For example, 49.9% should NOT be rounded off to 50%).

[b][u]Medical Standards [/u][/b]: 
(a) General Medical Standards for Group 'X' (Technical) Trades are as follows; 
[b][u](i) Height[/u][/b]: Minimum height required is 152.5 cms.
[b][u](ii) Chest[/u][/b]: Minimum range of expansion is 5 cm. 
[b][u](iii) Weight[/u][/b]: Proportionate to height and age. 
(iv) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable. 
[b][u](v) Hearing[/u][/b]: Candidates should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately. 
[b][u](vi) Dental[/u][/b]: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. 
[b][u](vii) Health[/u][/b]: Candidates should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidates must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of world, in any climate and terrain.

[b][u]Job Specifications [/u][/b]: Group 'X' (Technical) Trades involve jobs as given below;
(a) Automobile Fitter 
(b) Electronics Fitter
(c) Electrical Fitter. 
 (d) Mechanical System Fitter
(e) Structures Fitter
(f) Propulsion Fitter
(g) Workshop Fitter (Smith)
(h) Workshop Fitter (Mechanical).
(j) Weapon Fitter.

[b][u]Selection Procedure [/u][/b]:  Verification Of Eligibility :
Certificates / Mark Sheets and other required documents {NCC 'A', 'B' or 'C' Certificate, Son of Air Force Personnel Certificate (SOAFP)} etc will be scrutinized and verified at the examination venue prior to commencement of Written Test to ascertain the prima-facie eligibility. Detailed verification will be carried out in respect of candidates who pass Written Test later. Candidature of those who do not meet the laid down educational criteria is liable to be rejected even after written test after detailed verification of original documents.

[b][u]Publishing Of All India Select List (AISL)[/u][/b]: The All India Select List (AISL) will be displayed at 8 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force Station Tambaram, Chennai (Tamil Nadu) on 31 JANUARY 2014. A copy of the Display List will be sent to District Magistrate of Ramanathapuram (Tamil Nadu) through Airmen Selection Centre and also will be available at Indian Air Force website
