Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Technical Assistant in the CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology(NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, a premier research Institute of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research(CSIR). The Institute has been engaged in R&D programmes in five broad areas of research namely
(i) Agroprocessing & Natural Products, 
(ii) Biotechnology
(iii) Chemical Sciences & Technology
(iv)Process Engg.& Environmental Technology.
NIIST is looking for bright and highly dedicated candidate for the position of Technical Assistant.

[b][u]Scale of Pay [/u][/b]: PB-2, Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
[b][u]Age Limit [/u][/b]: 28 years as on closing date

[b][u]Essential Qualifications[/u][/b]: 1st class Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical Engg. of 3 years full time duration or its equivalent after 10+2 in science stream.
[b][u]Desirable[/u][/b]: Experience in R&D Laboratory/Institution
[b][u]Job requirement[/u][/b]: To assist in testing of environmental samples and maintenance of Laboratory and pilot facilities.
