[B][U]Clinical Departments[/U][/B]: TB & Chest and Maxillofacial Surgery

[B][U]Qualifications/Eligibility Criteria [/U][/B]: 
1. The candidates who possess degree of Master of Science/Behavioral Science in a subject allied to Bio-Medical Sciences or Master of Surgery or Master of Dental Surgery (only Dental subjects) or Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree or Diplomat of the National Board of Examinations will be eligible for Ph.D Course for all above subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Maxillofacial Surgery)
2. The candidates who possess a recognized degree of M.Sc Medical Anatomy, M.Sc Medical Physiology, M.Sc Medical Biochemistry, M.Sc Medical Microbiology & M.Sc. Medical Pharmacology will be eligible for Ph.D Medical Courses in the above respective subjects i.e. Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry , Microbiology & Pharmacology
3. The candidates who posses degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree or Diplomat of the National Board of Examinations or Diploma in Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases (D.T.C.D.) or M.Sc in Biotechnology or M.Sc. Medical Microbiology or M.Sc Microbiology will be eligible for Ph.D in the Department of TB & Chest
4. The candidates who possess a recognized Master Degree in Behavioral Science/Home Science/Nutrition/Master in Public Health or Allied subjects will be eligible for Ph.D in the Department of Community Medicine
5. The candidates who possess a recognized Degree of MD in Psychiatry or M. Sc in Clinical Psychology or M.A. in Psychology or M.Phil in Psychology / Clinical Psychology will be eligible for Ph.D in Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry

[B][U]Fee[/U][/B]: One Lakh per year.
[B][U]Duration of the Course [/U][/B]: 3 years (Minimum) and 5 years (Maximum)

[B][U]Fellowships / Grant / Funding[/U][/B]:
1. Admission to Ph. D course will be subject to the availability of research funds/fellowship/grants from recognized funding agencies i.e. Pool Officer from CSIR, ICMR, DST, INSA etc. The admission will be finalized and offer sent to the candidate only when evidence of the availability of research funds/grant/fellowship for the project is submitted by the selected candidate through the concerned Head of the Department
2. No fellowships/grant will be provided by the college during the Ph.D programme
3. The expenses if any, towards consumable items, shall be borne by the Ph. D student
4.  In case the student is selected for Ph.D programme and no Fellowship/grant from a recognized institution/college is available to him/her, the student is required to bear all expenses for the same

[B][U]2. Name of the Course [/U][/B]: M.Sc. Medical Programme
[B][U]No. of post [/U][/B]: 20 seats are available in each subject of M.Sc. Medical Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry & Microbiology
[B][U]Qualifications/Eligibility Criteria [/U][/B]: 
1. The candidates who possess degree of Bachelor of Medical Lab Technology/ B.Sc. Degree Examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Botany or Zoology with 50% Aggregate Marks as the main subjects or B.Sc. Degree in Home Science are eligible to apply for M.Sc. Medical Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry
2. The candidates who possess degree of B.Sc. Medical Microbiology or B.Sc. Life Sciences or Bachelor of Medical Lab Technology with 50% Aggregate Marks in the above Graduation fields are eligible to apply for M.Sc. Medical Microbiology

i) Application format can be downloaded from the website.

ii) The Selection Committee will interview the eligible candidates for Ph.D seats on 11.09.2013 (for the Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry & Microbiology) and on 12.09.2013 (for the Departments of Community Medicine, TB & Chest, Pharmacology, Psychiatry (Clinical Psychology) and Maxillofacial Surgery) at 9.00 AM in the Chamber of the Vice Chancellor, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad.

iii)  The Ph.D. courses will start from 23rd September 2013.
