The Wipro Chennai Marathon is a premier running event in the city of Chennai brought to you by Chennai Runners and Wipro Technologies. Last years edition TWCM 2012 brought over 6000 runners from all over the country and world participating in 3 different categories (Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10 KM Run).

This year, The Wipro Chennai Marathon will be held on 1st December, 2013. Register now and train your way to a fitting finish!

[B][U]TWCM 2013 will feature three main events [/U][/B]:
[B][U]Full Marathon (42.195 kms) [/U][/B]:
The Chennai Full Marathon course is generally a flat one. If you train in hot and humid weather you should consider this a Personal Best course. Of course, this race is only recommended for runners who have run at least a half marathon before, and are committed to the rigorous training & discipline required to run a full marathon.

[B][U]Half Marathon (21.1 kms) [/U][/B]:
The Half Marathon is a great one for you to attempt. If you ran the 10kms last year, we recommend you think about an 'upgrade'. It will be an enjoyable, albeit challenging, race. We will run training programs starting soon, for first-time half marathoners.

[B][U]10km Run [/U][/B]:
Last year, this was our most popular race. First-timers, walkers, young and old alike thronged to the start line for this run. We expect that this momentum will continue into this year, and that everyone will return with renewed motivation to participate in this small and beautiful event.

All the events have the same registration fee, and will receive the same goody bag and contents. As always, all finishers will be given a finisher's medal and breakfast, as part of the registration fee. We have prizes (cash) for the first three finishers (men and women separately) in all three categories.[/QUOTE]
