SMVDU announces admissions for the Academic Session 2013-14 to the following programmes;

[B][U]UNDER GRADUATE COURSES [/U][/B]: 
[B][U]1) B. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology and Mechanical Engineering (4 yrs courses)[/U][/B]: As per the eligibility criteria of JEE Main-2013.
[B][U]2) B. Arch (5 yrs course)[/U][/B]: As per the eligibility criteria of JEE Main-2013.
All admissions for S.No. 1 & 2 shall be on the basis of merit rank order of JEE MAIN-2013 (All India Rank), through Central Counseling Board of JEE MAIN-2013. SMVDU may conduct direct Counseling on the basis of valid AIR of JEE MAIN-2013 against the leftover seats after the Central Counseling process is over, for which candidates are also required to apply directly to SMVDU.

[B][U]POST GRADUATE COURSES[/U][/B] : 
[B][U]3) MBA[/U][/B]: Graduates with 50% marks in any stream from a recognized University / Institution. Selection Basis: Short Listing by Valid MAT/CMAT Score of (Sept, 2012- May, 2013) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

[B][U]4) M.Tech. (Manufacturing & Automation)[/U][/B]: Graduates with 60% marks in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.(With Valid GATE Score)

[B][U]5) M.Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering)[/U][/B]: B.Tech./B.E Degree with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, in any Engineering discipline or M.Sc in Physics or Mathematics from a recognized University/Institution.(With Valid GATE Score)

[B][U]6) M.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering)[/U][/B]: Graduates having B.E/B.Tech. degree with 60 % marks or equivalent CGPA in Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Applied Electronics / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / M.Sc. (Physics) with Electronics Specialization/M.Sc.(Electronics) from a recognized University/Institution.(With Valid GATE Score)

[B][U]7) M.Sc. (Biotechnology)[/U][/B]: Graduates with 60% marks in any stream with Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Agriculture / Biosciences / Life Sciences as a subject from a recognized University / Institution. Admission shall be made on the basis of Merit Rank obtained in Entrance Test to be conducted by Thapar University, Patiala and students are hereby notified to visit the website [URL]http://www.thapar.edu/[/URL] for details of application form, etc. SMVDU may conduct its own entrance exam for leftover seats. Students desirous of seeking admission should apply separately to SMVDU on the prescribed format.

[B][U]8) M.Tech. (Energy Management) (Part-Time)[/U][/B]: The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ or a Master’s Degree in Sciences / Applied Sciences and/ or any appropriate discipline related to energy and environment with the CGPA of 6.75 on 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks in aggregate wherever marks are awarded. The candidate with valid GATE score will be given preference.

[B][U]9) Ph.D [/U][/B]: For admission to Ph.D in disciplines- Management/Economics/ Computer Science & Engg. /Electronics & Communication Engg. / Mechanical Engg./ Physics/ Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/Chemical iology / Philosophy.

[B][U]10) M.Sc. (Physics)[/U][/B]: Graduates with 60% marks in any stream with Physics / Electronics as a subject from a recognized University/Institution.

[B][U]11) M.Sc. (Mathematics)[/U][/B]: Graduates with 60% marks in any stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized University/Institution.

[B][U]12) M.A. (Philosophy)[/U][/B]: Graduates with 55% marks in any stream from a recognized University / Institution.

[B][U]13) M.A. (English)[/U][/B]: Graduates with 55% marks in any stream with English as a subject from a recognized University/ Institution.

[B][U]How to apply[/U][/B]:
i) The University Prospectus containing application form shall be available for sale w.e.f 17/06/2013 on cash payment of Rs. 1025/- (for S.No 1 to 9) and Rs. 525/- for S.No.(10 to 13) from the following branches of J&K Bank Ltd. (SMVDU MVDU Branch Jammu: Shalamar Road, Talab Tillo, Gandhi Nagar, Janipur, Udhampur: Shakti Nagar, Kathua: Kathua Main, Rajasthan, Jaipur, Srinagar SSI Branch Lal Chowk, Ladakh Leh Main, New Delhi Connaught Place, Anantnag Anantnag Main, Chandigarh Chandigarh Main, Pathankot Pathankot Main).

ii) Application forms for the above courses can also be downloaded from the website and can be submitted along with a DD of Rs. 1100/- for S.No. 1 to 9 and Rs. 600/- for S.No. 10 to 13 (Rs. 100/- towards postage & handling charges) drawn in favour of Registrar, SMVDU, payable at Jammu/ Katra being the cost of the Prospectus & Application form in which case the Prospectus shall be sent separately by post to the candidate concerned
